What the hell, combine them. My previous stance had much do with my first overall selection in the prospect draft, but realistically, this is a better option in terms better teams this year on the main roster
I am all over the combined draft. Why? Because the NHL has been out of commission for a year and a half. There are a lot of prospects getting finely tuned to make a MAJOR impact right out of the gates, being nurtured in the AHL or Europe.
Meanwhile, there are a lot of past stars filling up on Doritos and watching every episode of American Idol - Keith Tkatzuk.
I would far rather take my chances on the emergence of Jerrid Aulin than Keith-baby. I think that makes it a lot more fun.
The NHL is going to have a radically new face in 2005-2006 - why not try to reflect this in our Fantasy League? To me that is way more fun.
Plus, considering that we are going to play multiple seasons, the combined draft makes each of us REALLY REALLY think about who we are picking --- way more FUN!
I'd like to change my vote to one condensed draft, LeeIs makes a pretty good argument for it in the other thread.... and besides it helps to cut down on the massive overkill in number of players drafted.
