I wasn't overly impressed with Callahan' leadership towards the end.

It isn't horrid luck. It is a GM and a team that has no understanding of how to build a team. Year after year, they go for the star players without any regard for whether they fit in with the team; whether they'll be put in a situation similar to the one they were succeeding in on their previous team; or whether acquiring them will balance the lineup, or create more holes than they fill.

It is a fanbase that gets deluded, year after year, into believing that this team is just a piece or two away from the cup. This team is not a contender. They haven't been for years. They were starting to head in the right direction, and Sather blew it up to go after the big names. Man is a moron.

**** Nash and his play this series. But booing the dude? Screw that. Leave that to Montreal.
Sorry - I'm not normally of the opinion that boo'ing is a great way to handle disappointment in your team. But with how this team has played the past several games, they deserved it - the entire team; and especially Nash and MSL. Pathetic effort from everyone top to bottom. Deserved to be boo'ed off the ice, and honestly, if I were there, I might have just joined them. Been cheering for them for decades. But go ahead and say I'm a ****** fan. Go ahead.

The Pens are simply the better team. More creativity, better breakouts, and most surprisingly, better defense. We aren't good enough to win it all right now with our injuries and lagging superstars.

Its better that we figure this out now than next round, at least we keep our first round pick and it isn't one of the last four.

Well, barring a sudden channeling of the 01-02 Red Wings, this has been an extremely ****** way to end the season and we still have one more game to go! LOL.

I'm jealous of every team who has these dynamic players that are so exciting to watch. The Rangers have a goalie and defender who can qualify for elite. The rest is meh.

Think you mean league.

But yes, even the Rangers have made the second round three years in a row.

There's no parity.

It's Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago every frickin' year. And now LA.

Regardless if that puck hit Staal, Lundqvist was not prepared. He fell back in the net. He should have been ready. Our team is built in such a way that we need him to make those amazing saves, and steal games, and if he doesn't, then it's not enough for us to advance. That's just the simple truth of it.
The team was built for the goalie to make amazing saves.

Interesting theory.

If true, Sather is more stupid than any of us suspected.

Hank gave up one weak goal.

Fleury gave up a far weaker one.

They have Crosby and Malkin. We have Nash and MSL.

It's theoretical, perhaps, but do you really think Callahan would have prevented/lessened the malaise out there? This team had no zip to theri game other than a few stretches of what looked like momentum (after tying goal, for sure).
One hurdle, one mistake, and I could hear the air coming out from up here where I am.

The worst part, for me, was that I bit into the trap every time. When Hags scored, when Zucc scored. I got excited. Got into it. It seemed like Pittsburgh was just sitting back, chillin, then when we scored they're like okay guys come on and scored. Then they chilled again. Then the got a ******** goal. Then we scored again and they woke up again.

They were toying with us, we're like kittens and they're like people with a ****ing laser pointer (yes I made a kitten analogy)

Lol just attack Nash for everything he does I suppose. That was a perfectly normal answer and I'd expect a lot of players would have a similar response. His play has been the least of our problems. His finishing has been a huge problem. MSL this series has been a huge problem. And most of all McDonagh turning into Stu Bickel after previously being a Norris Contender has been a huge problem. Not to mention the constant soft goals Lundqvist has given up. All the great saves he makes are negated if he keeps giving up horrific goals like some of the ones he has given up this year.

They're showing the Nash post-game on NHLN. He seriously freaking thinks the fans were booing him because of that turnover.

If by one you mean three.

And I love that we now hold Hank to the same level as Fleury. Wow.

Considering they put Chicago on Sunday afternoon, I don't honestly think the Rangers drive the ratings as much as we might think they do.

Also Callahan is more of lead by example type of leader. This team looks like it needs to be ripped at times.
You can tell AV doesn't do that. And neither does anyone in the locker room.
