I’m kind of a ghost here… often reading but rarely posting.
Robin Brownlee wrote an article called “NHL Buzz is Back”…and that is just what I was thinking. With all the players changing teams, this is probably the best August ever for talking hockey. It does not seem like there is too much of a backlash.
As I read posts here, it kind of supports the idea that everyone is excited about hockey. Everyone seems so passionate about their team (I love that!). How else can you explain that Buffalo and NYR fans feel there teams are more talented than the leafs (IMO the leafs are in a similar situation as last season…their success depends on the health of Eddie…not the health of Lindros or Allison). Any why is it that a few changes now (IN AUGUST) seem to make a team suddenly cup favourites (eg. Philly or Calgary or Ottawa… IMO Philly is not better, Ottawa made a good trade, but are not better… and while Calgary is better they barely made the playoffs – although they did have a good run).
Just wanted to add that I can’t wait to see some hockey!
Welcome, Pepsi. Hope you continue to be sweet and bubbly.
Leaf fanaticism is a fundamental religion on this board.
