I really don't know what people here like about Lee. He does nothing great and he is pretty slow.
He's not slow. He has a very good burst. He gets on DBs. Very explosive as a return man as well. I don't think he's a can't miss guy, but he got caught in the middle. He's not as fast as Cooks and Beckham and he's significantly smaller than Benjamin.
I wasn't shocked when Robert Woods went in the second last year. I'm a little surprised Lee didn't go in the first. He's a much better prospect than Woods. This time last year he was neck and neck with Sammy Watkins. Bad QB play kind of killed his hype this year.
yeah, it was one of the schools I was going to go to. Have relative and friends that go/went there.
The good thing about Smith is that you don't have to project him to dropping into coverage. He's already done it before and he actually looks pretty fluid doing it. He's got a pretty good first step. Long arms, gets into the throwing lane and knocks down some passes when he can't get to the QB. Needs to get stronger but he has a good frame to do it.
I liked what the Rams & Browns did last night. Rams get tougher in the trenches & add Donald to go along with Quinn, Long, & Brockers that has potential to be the best d-line in the NFL next year.
Browns get Gilbert who's a high upside dynamic CB to play oppostite to Joe Haden who in my opinion is the best CB in the game & even though I'm not sure on him they get a QB with some good upside in Manziel in a position of need to go along with a first round pick that could be a nice one next year from the Bills.
4.6 at his size is great. Has long arms too. 34". It was a bad draft to need pass rushers, but at least they addressed the biggest need. What else was there? Only wideouts worthy of the pick and they obviously have their eye on someone later in the draft. Chip has been at just about every top 20 receiver's workout. I think I trust his decision making. He also doesn't value receivers very highly.
Wasn't it 4.68? That's good, but not great. Look at Shazier running a 4.4. at only 13 lbs. lighter, or Clowney running a 4.53 at 266 lbs.
Yeah, there's a reason Clowney is the best DE prospect in probably at least the last decade. You can't compare any of these guys to his skill set.
I'm really surprised the Eagles traded down instead of taking Dennard. He was lights out at MSU and was one of the driving factors to that defense being so good. I guess Chip really doesn't like the B10.
2nd round here got to take a WR here you would think. After Maclin and Cooper there really is nothing. Need a guy to come in if Maclin looks slower than usual or one of them get hurt. Honestly I would take a look at two WR the rest of the draft. I know we have problems at safety and CB but I would have WR right up there. Safety is probably the biggest problem though.
I say this and they will probably take a DT or OL haha
I think they went for a reach at edge rush because it's a need and the draft isn't as deep in that regard this year. You can get a great value at WR in the 2nd round, I'm partial to the kid at PSU but I don't follow college very closely anymore.
I am happy with the pick. We needed an pass rusher and we got one. I thought that ESPN panel during the draft was hilarious. Gruden could not stop talking about Manziel and how ever team should consider him and Ray Lewis thinks every team should focus on defense forever. Then there was Mr. Serious, Mel Kiper. To calm down Gruden.
