Subban talked to Serge Savard

Phillipe Cantin was at the 5 7 at RDS and said that before the playoffs Subban talked to Serge Savard for hours face to face and then following that, they've been texting a few times ever since.

That explains a lot of stuff. About how PK changed since the end of the season. And how calm he's been. Personaly I think that's a great thing done by Serge here, if he had any influence. That's a Habs trooper right there.

Savard is such a great leader. I wish Bergevin would have him as an advisor.

He would probably bully people into hiring Assante as their wealth manager.

Always said JJ can't lead him to the Promise Land.

I think when you've played at great levels at certain positions, you understand what it's all about. Serge was a star D in Montreal and he gets it. He get what it is facing the Bruins too. Like Roy I bet helping is a lot Varlamov(and I thought would have helped Price too). JJ may be good with most Ds, maybe not a top D.

Well that explains all the Subbanian spinoramas.

Probably helped make him a better person too.

I mean, Subban probably helped Savard.

Remember Gainey going for that walk with Kovalev? Yeah me too.

Subban is playing this way not because of Savard but because 1) he has the talent too 2) Therrien is finally trusting him.

Still, it must have helped. Look at the difference of Subban then and Subban now.

I've noticed P.K change too, so has Price. He talked about it many times lately when asked about Subban, how Subban is good at hiding his emotions and staying cool. He's definitely not giving Boston players any satisfaction after whistles.

Since Subban's very first Playoffs as a fresh rookie, he has been a playoffs monster. This year is only the continuation of this.

Uh the alumni are always around the team. Its silly to think this is some special isolated moment.

PK Eller Borky all seem to get it..
Pricer had it lost it and has it back.

I'm sure it may have helped a little but no amount of talking will change everything, at the end of the day it just comes down to execution and that's what he's doing right now executing plays

Yea the story itself is great to me. Maybe it helped a bit but just the idea that it happened makes me happy as a Habs fan.

Also if this is the thing that may propulse Subban as a Great player, we may go back to that point in time where a great player talked to another great player. Sort of a passing of the torch, maybe?

Yeah, but no. Just no.

Subban has been training his *** off since he's 15-16, maybe even before. And he's been a clutch player since coming into the league. It's not a little chit chat with another great that will change that much.

Just Therrien getting his head out of his *** and not benching him for anything and everything was probably more of a factor, but hey.

What's up your butt? I sense a lot of anger over a beautiful story.

A lot of guys are talented, a lot of guys are working hard to make it. Sometime it needs more than that.

A hhofer, a legend, gives you tips/words of encouragement....it makes a difference at the very least with confidence
