And look up #2 Bryant. Talk about tearing it up. Gray has been pretty damn impressive too.

Yep, been paying a lot of attention to him and Joey Gallo.

Wow I thought Appel was going to be a lot better than that.

I think Kris Bryant is going to be a beast though. That dude was such a can't-miss guy.

Not sure what thread to ask this but anybody live in northern Colorado know a good beer league? Looking to play again and haven't heard of any league's in the area.

Outlaws had their last home game today, came out with a 13-10 win against the Florida Launch.

We're currently tied with the Rochester Rattlers for the league's best record, and one win in their last three games guarantees at least a playoff spot. If we finish top two we'll get to see a playoff game for the first time in history (this is the first year where the higher seed gets to host a home game in the playoffs; previously they did a four team, two day tournament at a single location).

Really glad they got a win for me today. It was a rough sports weekend otherwise. Rockies got swept by Pittsburgh, the Iowa Barnstormers lost in a one score AFL game, and the Winnipeg Bombers got stomped by Edmonton.

With the start of Broncos camp (The official end of baseball season around here) it made me reflect on the fan pressure of the empty seats during the Rams game that made them fire McDaniels and reform the front office.

Unfortunately, the Monforts don't have a sellout streak to protect, have the luxury tax, party deck and the Baseball Nostalgia Complex to offset fan disgust.

I thought it was pretty much Spygate 2.0 that was the final dagger. The Broncos are sold out every year before the season begins. Maybe it looked a little thin when only 65k instead of 75k showed up but that wasn't hurting the Broncos' bottom line. Monfort's little email PR issue would cause it more than anything, so if it doesn't then nothing revenue related is going to make anything change.

It certainly threatened to when the Broncos were at season ticket renewal time and the Broncos had reason to believe there would be even more noshows for the last two home games.

Had it been McSpygate I think he would have been fired on the spot, but I think Ellis was hesitant knowing that getting rid of his choice for coach would mean losing his influence over the football end of things.

What press speculation *cough* leaked to media *cough* was in between that mess and the eventual firing was that Bowlen wouldn't be pay three head coaches didn't seem to quiet the outrage.

I'm sure someone else got through to Bowlen and told him he needed to make the change.

I was at that Rams game. I have to admit though, it was awful seeing Tebow and it was awful seeing the Rams compete so easily with Joshy, but really it was freaking cold that day as well. Brutal cold.

I honestly think this was the real beginning of the end for the McDaniels reign of error.

It's certainly the moment when his former supporters with the exception of Klis and Itsalloverfatman.com headed to the air strip with congressman Leo Ryan.

You might call getting the Goodman family fired was the beginning of the end.

Don't forget milehighreport.com. I swore that place was being run by members of McDaniels' immediate family.

There were members of his family he didn't put on the coaching staff?

Dreessen's gone. Just too many players at the TE position on this team.

http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci...ailed-physical

good news is his cap # was at $2.5M

I really liked Joel. He also wasn't healthy judging by his tweets.

Sucks but gives us a little bit of room for depth

Too bad to hear about Bowlen. He is a great owner and Alzheimer's sucks.

From the way Elway and Ellis are talking it sounds like Bowlen is in far worse shape than anyone knew. Sad times for sure.

You could definitely tell something was up when Elway accepted the Lamar Hunt Trophy and spoke instead of Bowlen after the AFC Championship game. Thanks for everything, Mr. B.

That's gotta be an error. At least I really hope so.

Thankfully, it's an error, to the point even Woody Paige, via Around the Horn, revealed it's Alzheimer's. Close call.
