There seems to be a ton of things to consider in this trade. We will probably save money. Zetterberg may have been injured before, but it's not like Antropov and Colaiacovo are Iron men. It gives us a first line winger. It could produce us with a younger Kaberle who is more physical. We also have the chance of losing 3 guys who all become great hockey players. Kaberle is already great and it would be really hard to loose him for me. The trade may allow Pilar more ice time and maybe someone on the farm can step up. I'd still rather have our guys and give Wellwood or Steen a chance to crack a scoring role with Sundin or Allison.

An image not to be considered in its details.

kronwall is a great one. he's bigger and far better then colaiacovo. kronwall was a dominant d-man in the ahl. he'll be a great nhler.

if jfj can swing this trade, he takes a step towards redeeming his reputation for being an idiot.

Kronwall is 5'11, 190 lbs (we'll give him the benefit of the doubt)
Colaiacovo is 6'1, at least 190

I don't see how he is "bigger"

Until this trade is confirmed by a reliable source I think this thread probably needs to be locked (like it was on the Red Wings page).

Why? Is discussing it as a possibility hurting anyone?

Agreed, what is considered a reliable source for a rumor to begin with. Rumors don't hurt anything, it jsut makes for some fun discussion on the different possibilities. Its not like there is any thing else to talk about at the present time.

Bye the way why does it say that I am at watning level one at the bottom of my avatar. I guess it was because I was passing on some trade discussion I heard from a poster on ************* who goes by the name of code. People should actually go check his posts out before they think he is a fraud.

Let's recap what ACTUALLY happened. Vedder failed to copy the ENTIRE contents of the rumor. Please pay special attention to the BOLDED type

Well today has been slow, though I did just recieve some interesting. Apparently, and I cannot confirm this, but earlier tonight sportsnet.ca listed the following trade. They took it off after about 5 minutes.

To Toronto : Kronvall, Zetterberg
To Detroit : Coliacavo, Kaberle, Antropov

Like I said, I don't know how much truth this rumour has to it, but I thought I should pass it on.
UPDATE : Hockey Leaks' own Yick can confirm that sportsnet did have this deal on it's website earlier today.
"today has been slow" What do we do on slow days when we have our own blog? We FABRICATE stories to create readership.

"I cannot confirm this" A blogger that can't confirm something? WOW. Does it get any more UNRELIABLE? Maybe we should go find "code"

"they took it off after 5 minutes" HOW CONVENIENT. You know earlier today they also said that Ferguson was going to trade himself to NJ for Lou. Call it the NHL version of swapping wives. But oh wait. They took it off after 5 minutes.

"Hockey leaks own Yick" Who is Yick? Is he being hired to replace Bob McKenzie? Is Yick male or female? Does he have a brother named "code"?

This rumor was NEVER reported and NEVER confirmed. As slow as it has been for the last few days and as much as we are all itching for some real action, this particular rumor is a pile of ^%$#.

Here the link for the blog that contains the rumor.

How dare you, sirrah, how dare you bring reason and evidence to such a provocative rumour? Without such unsubstantiated rumours this board would grow spider webs and its posters left to roam about elsewhere causing havoc.

What I do, seriously, appreciate is your digging at sources to unearth the entire document and to paint back in the face that was removed for political reasons (pretty good mixed metaphor?). Perhaps if this were done more often people wouldn't feel so free to start such nonsense threads and we could deal with the less exciting, but substantial, things as they are.
