Most adults are a little bit lactose intolerant. But that wouldn't result in your body reacting that way. Lactose intolerance results in feeling bloated and gassy when drinking/eating dairy.

I suspect you came down with something else and what you ate just prior was unrelated.

To have a reaction that quickly I think something was wrong with the milk rather than you can't tolerate it (or fruit loops but I don't even know can they go bad?). I don't know about the chest pains but it must have started right when it hit your stomach. If you feel pretty much 100% fine right now other than just recovering from the trauma then it must have been what you ate. Eating it when you woke up and presumably on an empty stomach might have just exacerbated the reaction you might normally have to eating something bad.

I'm pretty much lactose intolerant. Never been diagnosed but all dairy causes unpleasant things. Ice cream and any cream based drinks from Starbucks absolutely kill me. Never makes me vomit though.

I had that with Chipotle last year. I think it was just a food bug.

Hmm, ive had some mild cases where if i drank alot of milk immediately after waking up I get the $hit$. So maybe next time try to drink some really cold water to settle your stomach before you put anything else in there, and I thinks its good practice to always smell the milk before you drink it. Hopefully this wont put you off cereal, cause I love it as desert after dinner, LOVE IT.

You might not believe me but I don't think I've ever had a bowl of cereal.

Hope it's almost over at least

The cereal thing, yes it's true. I don't like milk and almost never have breakfast. Didn't grow up eating it.

Always terrible to hear. Chin up!

I don't see how not eating a bowl of cereal ever is even possible. I ate cereal for 2+ meals a day when I was in college.

That's my go-to move for tired breakfast.

"I don't feel like buttering bread... You gotta move the knife and everything... I'll have cereal."

I've eaten cereal 99% of mornings since I was as young as I remember. I often have 2 bowls so I can probably say I've had more bowls of cereal than days I've been alive.

A lot of times I won't even bother pouring it into a bowl and just eat it straight out of the box.

That's actually my go-to Saturday morning meals, cereal out of the box and mimosas.

I've had a little bit dry, I've tasted Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I hate milk so much, my parents used to make me drink room temp skim milk for dinner every night and I'm still traumatized. They never bought any cereal either except my dad's bran squares or something like that. I just would never ever fix it for myself. I know I'm weird
