Jagr

Not because Im a NYR fan but a Jagr healthy and on his game to this day is still the best scoring foward in the game and the world.

Jagr been playing on **** teams doing all scoring alone and is still avg 1 point per game, so who is to say with some help he wont do way better. I dont see Jagr breaking 100 points but 85 possibly 90 isnt out of the question.100 with luck.

Iginla is a safer bet. If Jagr tries, and puts in the effort (and stays healthy) there is little chance Iginla outscores him, though.

I wouldn't bet on a healthy, motivated Jagr though. It could happen, but it's hardly for certain.

Jagr...and I expect at least a 10 point differential.

I don't think Iginla's the type of player who'll regularly give you big numbers. He's usually getting 70-80 points when he's having an amazing year.

Jagr on the other hand will get you 75 points even when he's floating and barely trying. If he really DID put together this season, I think he could still be a 100 point guy.

I think it will shake out like this:

Iginla 90

Jagr 75

I dont know if Jagr wants to dominate any more. If he does he could lead the league in scoring. If not, he should fall between 70-80. Obvisusly I dont think he will be fully motivated this year.

There are not too many polls where I wouldn't take Iginla.

Jagr is playing with an old teammate from Pittsburgh, Straka, that might light a fire under his butt and a fellow countryman and linemate from Team Czech in Rucinsky. I think he'll have a decent year, enough to beat Iggy's 75 points at least...

That's interesting, considering that Jagr has outscored Iginla over the past two seasons, 151-140.

Iginla has managed to outscore Jagr a grand total of once in his career. I don't expect it to happen again this season, especially given that Jagr was the best player in the world over the past year, while Iginla did nothing.

I'd love to vote for Jagr, I really would, but I have to question his motivation again. Maybe some NYR fans can set me straight, but I keep hearing and reading that he kind of wanted to stay in Russia.

That said, if I'm wrong about his motivation, I'll happily choke down some crow. A motivated Jagr is truly a sight to behold. IF he's motivated and happy, I think he could outscore Iginla by a pretty good margin.

Exactly. I think he'll either score 110+ and win the Art Ross or top out around 75.

I could see Jagr getting more points but Iginla will have more goals and be far more valuble to his teams chances at success.

Iginla. Jagr doesn't seem motivated.

Why does Jagr need to be motivated to outscore Iginla?
