It seems my next jersey purchase has been secured.

Edit: Well that price tag was unexpected. Wonder what Palat gets now.

Gotta think Palat's deal will be in the 3.5 neighborhood.

Honestly - glad he got that much. Bridge contracts are nice and all, but he deserves the pay bump.

Good, but I didn't expect the value to be that high.

TJ has performed on every stage he's given a chance. You don't lowball a player you want long-term

3.3 is fair I thought him and palat would be anywhere between 2.5 and 3.5 and all is good to me at those ranges.

p.s. we have to value in that palat and him proved they are first liners. Killorn hasnt done that so doubt he gets a huge raise yet can see him getting closer to the 2.5

the three of those guys at 10 is what I based my numbers on and this fits that well.

I honestly thought both would get around 4x4.

I like the term and the value. He earned it. He showed himself well at the World Championships. He's still an RFA at the end of it. Expect Palat to get similar honestly.

Thought his caphit would be a bit lower, but even this coming year that contract will be a steal. 3.3 for a top-6 center who excels on the PP and PK is a steal. Now for Pally to get his 3.5 and call it a successful day

That's more than it should be, but as how contracts are being handed out I'm not surprised.
Palat will get the same

Great news anyway, Ty Jo is getting better and better!

Little higher then thought, maybe they know they have extra money cause they won't be resigning Callahan? Or a Malone/Purcell buyout? This means he's gotta be a top 6 center and I don't think Filppula is a 1C so Johnson as our 1C with Stamkos on the wing.

Palat might get slightly less because he's not a center, kinda like the Getzlaf and Perry signing in which Getzlaf got slightly more.

Yeah, but usually the center actually is the better player, or his position allows him to be the better player. Palat's a winger but he was the more valuable guy despite that. I would expect him to get even money with Johnson at the very least.

I'll be shocked if Malone isn't bought out. Purcell... I feel like the Callahan situation might throw a wrench into that. If we lose Cally, Yzerman and company might feel a bit of pressure to hang on to veteran forwards. That's just a guess. And I hope I'm wrong.

If I'm not mistaken he'll still be a RFA when this contract ends.

and Killorn
and Sustr
and JT Brown

If they wanted they can re-sign Panik as well. He's frustrating as hell though.
