Kreider's collision with Price

Since we can't discuss this, at all, on the main forums, I thought I'd start a poll here to see how people feel about the collision.

I think people need to stop talking about this.

It's done. It's over. Price is not coming back.

How about an accident with no fault option?

Jeez, Habs fans are pathetic sometimes.

I was...not complaining or whining or anything.

Sorry guys.

I'll go hang out in the basement, with the lights off, and pray the rosary 10 times as penance.

Nobody intentionally set out to injure Price, nobodies fault. Accidents happen. Kreider drove hard to the net and I wish our guys would do it more!

This is where I land, I wish Pacioretty had a bit more of that in his game, especially in these playoffs.

Kreider went in hard looking for contact so he could slam into Price. Emelin should have let him go, Price would have stopped it and Kreider would have had to avoid the goalie or get a penalty. He was going too fast to score.

It's a hard hockey play. I'm more angry about the O'Halloran call on Galchenyuk.

I'm not sure "fault" is the right terminology. It is more to Kreider's credit that he went in hard, and just good luck on his/the Rangers' part that the ensuing collision actually hurt Price. Habs need to do this more as well. They may not get as lucky, but it is part of the game and they have to try it more often.

I don't see Emelin as being a factor in it much. It would have been nice if he had been good enough to actually get in Kreider's way and impede his approach somewhat, I guess.

Doesn't mean we should just let him get away with it.

The fact that it's been repetitive in his case, it's definitely something he was thinking about doing.

How anyone can see this thread and the poll as "whining" or "crying" is completely beyond me. OP asked a simple question in a very diplomatic way, no need to jump down their throat for it.

I'll join the chorus in finding this an annoying thread. And it's been a long time since it happened, in playoff terms.

Are you for real starting a thread about this? Have you been to the main boards -- no good will come of this. Might as well send out a bat signal asking for more ridicule from opposing teams' fans.

Apparently we can't even discuss this in the habs forum since the main forum has become a wasteland.

Reminds me of when chara broke pacioretty's neck and everyone blamed the stanchions and pacioretty for being in the wrong position. Anyone who argued it might have been on purpose was attacked.

This. If no one has any thoughts on the question, just move on and look away.

I think based on the fact that he has a history of pulling similar moves, this one just feels dirty, maybe it was accidental but at some point you know the speed you're skating and how much space you need to stop. If you think its cool to skate hard, ram the goalie if you need to in order to stop than props to you, to me its pathetic. We do this to any other goalie and everyone goes after our heads. This is a very different series with Price in nets, even if we are down 2-0.

No worries here, bro.

The incident deserves to be examined closely.

Razor sharp skates aimed first.. at a very high speed... sitting on his ass... ramming a goalie ?

Never seen that before... ever. Wth?

Imagine if that happened to any other goalie in the final 4?

Kreider saw a chance to mess Price up good... and did it... And he got away with it.

He is on his way up there with Cooke, Samuelson and Marchment.
