I'm still convinced Vanek is injured but as he showed yesterday, he's got more than enough skill to put up points still.
If we stop expecting Vanek to be the offensive leader of this team and see him as a complimentary player, he becomes much less frustrating to watch and actually is a very valuable asset.

What a load of ****ing bullcrap.

HE WAS LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD, YOU DUMBASS

"Admiring his own pass" my ass. Look at Stepan for a guy who is mesmerized by his his own puck movement.

Vigneault should shut his mouth. This was identical to the Prust hit. Moore deserves exactly what Prust got.

Prust hit - .93 seconds after the pass and caused a broken jaw

Moore hit - .50 seconds after the pass and did not injur

COMPLETELY different circumstances. Just because Weise doesn't buckle his helmet doesn't mean Moore should be suspended. All this shows is that Prust should have gotten at least 5 minutes in Game 3.

whether or not Weise admired his pass for too long is really irrelevant...the hit was from the blindside and his head was the principal and first point of contact

I fully expect 2-3 games

Should be atleast 5 Games hit to head and blindside hit....plenty of time to avoid head and didnt.

I think it has to be because of 5+20?

Thinking that .4 seconds means "COMPLETELY different circumstances" removes you from any serious discussion. It was a suspendible hit. Digest reality.

The refs missed it, how they missed it, no one knows....but this is really inconsequential

They missed the play on the ice but Prust was suspended...they didn't miss the Moore on Weise hit, they got it right. And that play should be used as an example of what blindside/headshots are, it's a no-brainer IMO

This doesn't excuse what Prust did because I thought it was despicable to be honest...but he received his punishment, so will Moore

Fine. Moore gets a two game suspension, minus five minutes.

Now that we know Beaulieu to be a player that can step up to the playoff plate, will he be capable to play like this for 82 games next year?

Ah, AV still bitter about Aaron Rome's suspension.

To be fair, it could be argued Horton was indeed admiring his pass for too, but I don't think Weise was, even if the slow mo leads one to think otherwise; one has to watch it full speed.

He's going to have growing pains..he's a high risk player, Subban and Markov still have shockingly bad games due to their playing style and the former is one of the best blueliners in the game.

I think he has shown he is worth putting up with the bad though, it would be a mistake to be trigger-shy with his usage.

The .50 seconds is outweighed by the speed generated by Moore prior to impact, Weise's head as the main point of contact and a chicken wing special.
