Oh was this the courthouse at 26th and Cal?

Had a day of jury duty there and I swear there were like 250 of us sitting in that airplane terminal-sized waiting room all day and I don't think a single person was called to actually be in a jury selection.

I had to go to Maywood, would have rather gone to 26th and Cal. There was like 100 people in this soulless room in the basement of the courthouse with no windows.

Honestly, I want a big, elaborate wedding. Don't care how much it costs.

I honestly don't remember, but you are a guy correct? Nothing wrong with wanting a big wedding, depending on your background it's almost mandatory in some families.

I honestly can't see myself ever going that overboard for a wedding, even if someone else is footing the bill for it. Just not my bag.

Then again, I've also never had a relationship last longer than four or five months, so should probably focus on that first.

So by big, elaborate wedding, which of these are you talking about?

I assume you mean open bar at the very least. And if so, can I come? I have bridesmaid experience if necessary.

First one looks awesome... but then again, that last one is enticing too. Now I need to find someone to marry!

Never get married. If you want kids then maybe yes. And by wanting kids wanting them 110% by both parties without a doubt. Wait until you are at least in your mid 30s and careers have taken a definitive path and both of you are more stable financially and not dependent on one another as well as have experienced life and some ups and downs. As well as both grown into independent adults rather than right out of college before getting married.

Let me ask you this. Would you risk 1/2 of everything on a 50/50 bet in Vegas? That is kind of what you are doing as 50% of marriages don't work out.

Look up on YouTube the advice Bill Murray gave these guys at a bachelor party recently about marriage and choosing a partner. It is spot on and very true.

Not being a downer......but I tell every 20 something thus who thinks they need to get married. Actually, I tell every guy this who wants to get married!

Or don't marry an awful person or do something awful to make them want a divorce and to get half of your possessions.

Basically this. I have two friends who are divorced and everyone knew they would be before they each got married.

My group of friend were taking bets on when the divorce would happen at the reception. I was off by 6 months.

This is an extremely naive opinion of why people get divorced.

Sometimes naivety is a blessing. I'm usually too cynical for my own good.

I'm a firm believer in both parties needing to be successful. It would be too easy to pull the plug and cash in if one person is lazy and unmotivated.

You honestly think it is just that simple? I do not know one divorce that has been just simply that. They are all complicated and both parties usually contribute to it.
