Darkness. That was a good album. I loved the song Growing On Me from that album.

Nothing like having a mountain work on the immediate horizon, but not being able to do a lick of work on any of them due to lenders being slow.

Watch them all send figures in after 4:00 so I'll have to work late...

Recently discovered the reality show Downsized. They show the reruns on Bio. It's about a Brady Bunch type family (father with 2 kids, mom with 5) who was hit hard by the recession and is forced to live in poverty until they can get back on their feet. I am usually not a fan of reality tv, but this show is hilarious because of the main character, father Todd Bruce. He was a general contractor who was clearing as high as 1.5M in annual profits before 2008 happened. He sunk all of the family savings into his business to try to keep it alive and lost everything. The mom is a school teacher out of ASU who also works as a tutor among other odd jobs. The dad just ****ing sits at home all day dicking around and he's always bossing around his wife and his kids (most age 13-17) to work harder and sacrifice more. He pulls the kids out of all of their activities, borrows money from them and doesn't pay it back for a long time and then puts them to work. The kids already have jobs and are in high school, but this guy is so averse to having a job and so dead set on being a business owner that he puts the kids to work. He is able to somehow get a landscaping job here or there, a couple a month, not much income and he makes the kids do all of the work and then collects the fee and doesn't give them anything. He just stands on the job site giving orders, the only thing he knows how to do. The mom just listens to everything he says and lets it go on. He's got his wife working two jobs then makes her start cleaning the neighbors' houses for even more income while he mostly just creates pie charts for his family meetings where he talks about the importance of cutting cable, food, all expenses basically. Both parents make the absolute worst decisions. Apparently when business was good, they were burning through 15 grand a month eating out. The man makes you shake your head but you can't make up the **** he says and does. He runs a strict household and the kids are just great, much better than he deserves, but eventually they start standing up to him a little. Really, given his behavior, one of the boys should have taken their belt off and gave him a whoopin long ago in an effort to get him to go find a job instead of sitting around waiting for everything to work out. He's got some kind of alpha male thing going where everyone just listens to him and does what he says. It's so weird. The rest of the family should have left in the middle of the night numerous times.

Definitely give it a shot. If you like it, you'll be completely sold after episode 4.

Leave for NYC for a quick weekend tomorrow.

Sure would have been nice to watch the Hawks play in NYC, though.

Enjoy your trip! That would've been nice for sure, but that'll still be a good time, either way.

All systems are a go on both home sales. We're completely done with everything on our end and all we're waiting on for the house we're buying is the appraisal to be done by this weekend. We're closing on both June 30th. Wish we could just move today, can't wait to get into the new house. Glad this was able to happen in the summer. I moved in the winter once. Talk about a pile of suck.

Nice job, pretty impressive to move from one house to the other within days.

I thought I was going to be able to watch game 5 in a Reno sportsbook, then game 6 in San Fran after the US soccer game with my buddy who moved out there. Would've been a kinda weird omen that we planned for 3-4 months to spend June 16th together and that the Hawks could've clinched that day. All for not

It's going to be a long day closing on two houses but at least we can do everything all in one shot and be done with it. The people buying our house needed a quick closing, and the house we're buying the sellers needed a quick closing and so did we so it worked for everybody.

Then a month later I have to move a whole warehouse to another warehouse. Barring something majorly unforeseen, I don't plan on moving anything again for a very, very long time.

I was so unbelievably pumped, and convinced I'd be watching the Hawks in NY.. even if the game was in Chicago, didn't care, was so pumped. Especially when we went 2-0...

Being a Cubs fan in Australia is difficult. Day games are the devil.
