Biggest game of the last 20 years. I woke up this morning with butterflies in my stomach and it comes back as soon as I think about tonight and the possibility of having that ****ing epic legendary game 7 this saturday. A game 7 in MTL would be magic. Can't hold still.
Prust on a few days rest needs to earn his pay check tonight.
Tokarski needs to be supremely focused and not give up saveable goals.
Team in general needs to play the ENTIRE 60 minutes at high intensity, not giving any of the NYR players any breathing room.
Make them pay and double think every action they make.
Not going out of my way to hate on Vanek (and really, who would have thought that he'd be the dead weight compared to what follows?!), but that line is dead without Weise and deadly with him. Wasting a good Eller and Bourque. Hope Vanek skates his ass off, cuz if he does, he could set up another Bourque hat trick. That's asking for too much though. (The skating part.)
How far into the game before it becomes clear that MSG's ice is ****ing us over? Our entire transition was foiled many times during gm4. Same for them, but I feel like we need it more to finish our passes.
Seriously, Emelin has been a liability so far in this series and I like our chances better if Bouillon is in (never thought I'd say this).
I think Bouillon can play a few games without being such a problem. Especially as he plays only 10 min. But it's clear he hasn't got much left in the tank. He needs about 1 week of rest for each game he plays, basically.
Emelin seems like he's been injured for quite some time. Let's hope he can come back at 100% soon.
I'm only asking one thing: Let this game be a clear-cut win or loss. I don't want one of those 1-1 in double OT losses, decided on a lame penalty call with a Diaz floater from the point tipped by St.Louis, after the Habs miss a dozen primo chances. Just come out and win it or lose it convincingly, boys. I don't want any crying tomorrow.
