I honestly don't know what to say. It astonished me when he was talking to Stoll about going after a man to close the gap.

Moores' words were... "I DON'T REMEMBER THE PLAY." It must have just happened like a shift ago too.

If I was Stoll there I would have lost 90% of all respect for him right there, why would he bother hassling u on your game if he can't identify or remember what u did wrong.

Sounds like Billy needs to be "reassigned". The last thing a young team needs is a coach who's telling them what they should have done differently, when he can't even remember the play. What the devil does that teach them??? How to be confused?!? Yeah, that's what we need.

Bergeron should have had Iginla. He was to busy watching the puck. I'm disappointed that they kept him. Other then that it was a decent exhibition game.

Alright here's my analysis of the game

The Good:

Marc Andre Bergeron: Played good gritty D all night
Jason Smith: Made some hits, solid D, only fault was the cough up for the winning goal
Tommy Salo: Made some great saves, no chance on either goal
Jarret Stoll: Played great
Oilers PK: stopped two 5 on 3's (although right after the first Calgary scored)
Raffi Torres: What a sparkplug, plays hard and gritty every shift

The Bad:
Powerplay: No goals, controlled the puck pretty well though
Mikko Luoma: Made some errant passes, has the tools though

The Ugly:
Peter Sarno: Had a very poor decision making night

The Numbers Game:

1: Number of people who gave the finger to the jumbotron

3: Number of sticks Jason Smith broke (2 his, 1 York's)

3: Number of times there was a 5 on 3 advantage (2 cal, 1 edm)

It would not have been the proper play in terms of defensive positioning for him to be on Iginla at that point. He was in the right spot, the onus is on Smith to make the play he should've, both times he did not.

Bergeron has clearly earned his spot on this team.

It's not a big deal.

It just disturbs me that out of a whole hockey game........they couldn't find anymore intelligent/interesting dialogue than those 2 nuggets of info Billy was trying to serve up. It just makes you wonder if he's just in the way. Maybe he's more helpful in the meetings etc. (I don't really know)

Just open and close the doors or something Billy. Simmer has better hair......

He had to ask York twice who certain players were on the Oilers that had the puck as they were going over the play. Yorkie did remember who the players were and helped Billy stumble through it. MacT's is in earshot with a blank look on his face. It looked pretty bush.........lol.
Oh that is WEAK. And we just gave him a multiyear deal too.

What I noticed was that Semenov got down in time to block some shots last night. Pretty tough to do when you're that big I'd say.
Smith pushed some people around which was good to see.
I also really like that Chimera went right after Gauthier after the (hit?) on I think it was Dvorak. I'm pretty sure he stood up for someone last year too. It's good to see.
Who was it that Torres nailed in the third? The whole place felt that hit.
