Moore likely won't be there...

he's either with the Rangers or picked up when they try to send him down (at least that's my guess). Rullier starts with the big club - that's my guess. Whether it's as a #6 or what, he starts there, but would be moveable.

Ryan Hollweg is a favorite of the Ranger brass and easily makes the squad over a liability (so far) like Murray...And given the concentration of finesse on the top 2 lines, I think Hollweg stands a good chance of making it over guys like Ortmeyer and maybe even Lundmark (Depending on who is centers 1-3)...Giroux will also have a good shot at making the squad..

If Rullier can skate okay he looks to me to be the tough guy we have on D. We're going to need one in any case. Brashear and Primeau are going to park themselves in front of the net on opening night. Someone is going to have to give them a hard time. Here's hoping that someone doesn't get his *** handed to him.

I've been thinking the same thing on Hollweg.

What is Moore's AHL salary? If it's more than $75,000,the Rangers can send a player to the AHL without going on waivers. It's the re-entry into the NHL which requires waivers and if the same player gets sent back to the AHL(and he cleared on the call up)he must clear waivers again to play in the AHL

Genoway was signed by the Rangers on a try out deal last spring after North Dakota finished their season. The Hartford Courant mentioned something about Genoway signing a minor league deal with the Hartfortd for 2005-06

Montoya is the starter down there in Hartford. I heard it directly from Maloneys mouth. Lundqvist will be the big clubs #2 man. You can count on that.

Good question about Jeff Hamilton...where is he going to play? I am surprised no one has signed him with a two-way deal. He would be a good call-up on a few teams.

Hartford Courant 8/15:
Genoway was scoreless in the final four games with the Wolf Pack, but showed enough potential to earn a minor league contract. .....

Genoway, who had 25 goals and 56 assists in 110 games with North Dakota, will vie for a spot in Hartford when training camp begins Sept. 12.

``He's going to have to have a good camp and beat someone out for a spot [in Hartford],'' Wolf Pack general manager and coach Jim Schoenfeld said.

The rumor over at the USCHO message boards is that Hamilton is going to Europe.

Hamilton is Isles property anyway. The Pack could only sign him to an AHL contract because he couldn't come to terms with the Isles.

This year's WolfPack is certainly going to be younger than last year's team (and I think last year's was the youngest in Pack history.) The 10 oldest players will all either have left the organization (or will be playing at MSG in Jed's case).

Gernander
Bouchard
Hamilton
Valiquette
Ortmeyer
Lawson
Gillies
Nycholat
MacMillan
LaBarbera

Bruce Graham and Ryan Callahan dont have deals.

Someone has already cleared up the status on Rullier

And you forgot Hannu Pikkarainen, who I think as a strong shot as the 6th defenseman.

Wow finally a true "farm" team. Not just a team full of career AHL guys...

Hannu Pikkarainen is going to play with his team in Helsinki this season. He will attend the Rangers camp and return to Finland

Bruce Graham and Ryan Callahan will either be in Hartford or return to junior as overage 20 year olds

So then...

it's 20 years old by 12/31/05. We had that all figured out last year, but I forgot the exact rule (graham turns 20 in December).

So if we don't sign Graham, what happens? Do we retain his rights and he goes back as an overage junior? Sorry - I'm not completely up to speed on this stuff.
