I like the way you think.

Stamkos isn't a UFA for like 5 more years. So of course.

I'd guess around $9.5 million per.

I don't buy the whole hometown discount because you get a bigger marketing deal in Chicago. If Kane left it would be because of a better situation in another big market like New York.

Hawks are going to have to pay. T&K are worth it though.

Have a hard time seeing them getting 1.25 more per year than Giroux

Have a very hard time time even considering trading either of them for Giroux at equal salary.

Kane and Toews are the superstars of Chicago and the league right now. Chicago turned in a 22.7 rating for a hockey game this week on a channel nobody can find?! Losing 19 or 88 would hurt as much as any player in the league from a top-to-bottom organizational perspective. The Hawks' lineup, fanbase, marketing, and last 2 Stanley Cups are literally built around these guys.

Giroux is an excellent player. Hopefully he keeps it up and isn't traded like the past captain and all-star (Mike Richards, Jeff Carter). Kane and Toews are hockey gods in Chicago. Giroux is just Philly's current all-star center.

On the ice Chicago fans call Toews the best two-way player in the world and Kane the first or second best RW in the world. They have the hardware to back it up. They have all the leverage in the world. It basically comes down to what type of deal they want to cut with the Hawks.

None of this matters. Giroux would be a hockey God in Chicago too

Ha ha.

...although, in total Sid's at $104,400,000 for that contract...so he'd still win

We'll just have to disagree. I definitely think that all matters...especially to Rocky, the man paying the bills. No point of arguing about it if our we're on completely different wavelengths.

I'd love them to take Team friendly deals. That would help the Franchise and Bowman working with the Cap. Hell I'd tell Kane that if he signs for 8 per year that Bowman is going to bring in the #2 C Kane wants on his line (other than Crosby, Malkin, Giroux, Getzlaf, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tavares)

Hopefully we can get Toews for 1.9 then.

Seriously though, still thinking they get 9.5 per.

I really, actually believe that it will be 8.8. I'm really not kidding. Brisson did it with Crosby and it is right in the range that they belong.

I think they'll end up getting $9.5-$10 million a season. Max length.

I am sure that is always the plan. But with agents and all it doesn't always work out that way.

They are going to wait until the convention before announcing anything.

This Kesler stuff is getting out of hand, sometimes reading here I get confused as if the Hawks already acquired him and I just missed it somehow.

Anything above 8.5 would be an over payment. No one in the league is worth that.
