Hemsky to test free agency

believed to be looking for a deal in excess of $5.5 million per-season from the club
Yikes..

Sorry Sens, that internal budget is a limitation. And as much as I love Hemsky, you would be stupid to pay him 5.5 mil.

The Panthers should just start selling his jerseys now.

I think he'll have a surprisingly large number of suitors. Someone will pay his asking price. Just hopefully not for more than 3+ years.

This doesn't surprise me since the Sens have been actively shopping Spezza

hes gonna go to tampa, he would be the perfect guy on Drouins, and stamkos wins.

Hemsky will always be more productive than Clarkson

Edit: @ 5.5 million it's still less than Clarkson is making too

Drouin - 15 goals, 75 assists
Hemsky - 9 goals, 88 assists
Stamkos - 122 goals, 4 assists

We're going in a different direction it sounds like, but this Sens fan has nothing but good things to say about hemsky. Good luck on your new team.

Hemsky with 1 leg will contribute more than Clarkson.

Too bad Hemsky is the literal exact opposite of what we need.

Surprised considering he seemed like a fit with Ottawa, but that's an absurd asking price from Hemsky. He'd be lucky to get $4M IMO.

Phoenix, Nashville and even San Jose will be interested in the west if I had to guess. However, I think Hemsky is better suited for the east. Islanders, Boston (chemistry with Krejci), or Columbus might be interested.

Not suprising when you consider their internal budget and the fact that Spezza is on the way out. The keys to offence belong to Turris and Ryan now.

Will Ottawa resign Ryan, he is a pending free agent.

Slightly disappointing. Was hoping he'd be willing to take a paycut to come to team that has a chance to win.

I'd love him on the Pens, but at nowhere near that asking price.

He'd look great next to Bjugstad and Hubey.

He'll probably get the money he wants, but not huge term.

5.5M @ 3 years - possible. 5.25M and 4 years, maybe.

New Jersey
Florida
Phoenix
Nashville
Islanders
Ducks

I could see all of the above having interest in Hemsky.

I'd rather have Hemsky at 5.5M and 3 years than Vanek at 6.5M and 7 years.

Yeah, he seems really interested in resigning here. Lots of talk about him resigning ASAP (This summer).

It's too bad Vancouver's window is closed. He would be perfect for keslers line mate.
