Yea I would say its a buzz kill for sure. We can hope Hutch bumps him then off we go but at this snapshot in time it is sobering bordering on depressing conceptually.

Yeah, here's hoping Hutch starts as backup this season if Pavs is still our starter.

Whatever. Baseball is stupid anyway.

*sigh*

How the heck is it even possible to fall of a cliff to such a degree in just a couple of seasons, as soon as I start following the team!?

Go Phillies...

You could probably make a 20 minute lowlight video with only Pavelec

Great video though, really gets me hyped up for next season.

I don't even care about the Cup all that much, I can't wait until it's over and we get to the Draft and Free Agency. I have the exact same feelings for the NBA finals too. I watch the games but there's not a whole lot of investment.

Yea I am indifferent at this point now as well. Even though it was Saturday night and I had been watching the game I chose sleep over the OT

I am interested in the first round of the draft but not really too interested after that and not close to last year when we were loaded up with picks in the first three rounds in a good draft. I have zero interest in free agency but I am REALLY interested for the trade season to begin.

I agree. I'm looking forward to that 2-3 week window after the cup final of a pre-draft run up until post FA day. We will know sometime during that stretch if Chevy is going to start remaking this team or if we will get another season of primarily status quo.

Yes, thanks Hammer.

But looking at these highlights, is anyone else a bit worried that Little had a terrific start to the season, where almost everything he shot at the net went in, then faltered as the season went along? His points total ended up being a bit better than his annual average, but a 30+ goal season seemed a pretty sure thing, around January. Seemed like his production dipped, and Scheifele's took off.

I will be 100% honest Bob, year in year out literally the "last guy" I worry about on the Jets is Little. Bryan is so consistent in his effort levels night in night out, shift in shift out, that I chalk up any variance in results to puck luck. He is 26 years old and probably just entering his prime and is one of the most under rated 2 way centre's in the NHL. Just look at how may Little Jersey's you see in the stands to confirm how underrated he is Total pro that brings it every shift and we have him tied up long term contractually.

As a matter of fact out of protest I have been thinking of getting a Little Jersey.

I agree, ps.

Wasn't questioning his effort, or 2-way game, just wondering if his production will ever reach new levels or is he a 20+ goal guy, each year (closer to 20, than 30). Don't get me wrong, that's not bad, in today's NHL, but almost everything worked for him early on last year and he didn't put up huge goal numbers though he looked like he would.

If things start slow next year, or continue as they did at the end of the year, I'm a bit concerned we may not get 20 out of him. The effort and solid 2-way game isn't the concern, just the goal numbers.

Baring some miracle Scheifele and Little look to be 1-2 up the middle for the foreseeable future. We need them to both stay healthy and play well throughout the season to have any type of hope for the post season.

Man at this point I'm pretty much ready for summer to end and hockey season to begin! What a crappy summer so far. Depressing driving around and seeing all the outdoor public pools sitting there empty...

I know! I couldn't wait for last year to end, especially how it all went down.

I want to watch the Jets again!

You'd think the club would make a mint releasing season review DVDs or something chalk full of highlights and memories. That would go down so well right now.

But what do I know, maybe the NHL controls the rights and wants everyone to have to poke around on their websites for highlights so they have to watch the commercials.

Yeah, judging by the lack of these things, I'd imagine the NHL controls it's content very carefully.

Haha, watch Buff at around 6:54-7:00. He gives Varlamov a little pop to his head just after scoring, and Varlamov tries to slash him on the way out.

I'd love that. Something like a "Oil Change" like show for the Jets that they release in the off season. I would absolutely buy that. I love seeing what goes on in the dressing room, on road, ect.

Probably cant do it though, or every team would be doing something like it.
