Well I'm just looking over the entry draft from 2012 and found this:

I'm a bit confused by all these prospect discoveries...

And I'm assuming Draisaitl is fair game since Bennett was as well?

Sweet, forgot all about Nieto.

Still got some picks I'd like to make but that helps.

I'm the top notch league member who brought it to IRs attention, do I get a cookie?

Also **** losing Trouba this late in the draft. Bingo give me him. I'll give you Smith, k?

Oh damn, I thought you were joking about Trouba because your quote linked to some other random post.

Yeah, that sucks and isn't really fair. It should be a team's responsibility to check to see that all their prospects are properly listed (in the OP of the draft thread in the prospects chart) and that they're added to their team on fantrax and not in the free agency pool. The same applies to Smith.

It actually should be because I ask several times for people to check and see if their are mistakes but I will figure something out.

I mentioned Nieto earlier in this thread, but forgot about it when the time came to double-check my Fantrax roster.

The fantrax roster isn't important when it comes to these kind of things, I always take the draft thread board of keepers and prospects as bible, not Fantrax until the season starts. Nieto, Faulk, and Smith, I believe we're all missing is both my fault and the teams who have the rights to them.

So, what's the verdict? If I lose him as a result of my own oversight, then I suppose that's fair.

If I can still keep him, that's cool too.

Personally I think to fix this that whoever drafted the players this year by accident should get them for this season only (and can't trade them), and then the prospects are returned to their proper teams at the end of the season.

Washington gets Smith, Vancouver gets Trouba, Philadelphia gets Faulk, etc...

(unless those teams are fine with giving up those players and replacing them with someone else. I know I'd be unhappy if I basically lost a 4th round pick when there were plenty of other good players to draft)

But alas, it's not my decision to make.

It's frustrating for sure but I'm not sure if that's a solution. I picked Trouba to potentially be a trade block player or even a keeper depending on if he broke out. To not have that option defeats the purpose. I'd rather lose the player and be compensated in a fashion that is more applicable to a keeper league.

I agree with Modo. I screwed up and didn't list Charlie Coyle as one of my keepers. I'd love to have him back, but it was my responsibility to check.

Should we pause the draft for now until we sort this prospect thing out? Or should we just try to wrap it up since we're near the end (although it might mean less options for teams needing to change a pick)?

Pausing is probably the best idea.

Whatever you guys think is best, I'll offer Nieto back to Modo if we keep the players and I can get a pick before the reset to make up for it. I'd prefer to hold onto Faulk but I think we can work it out.
