By the way, just for the record, Sidney Crosby has scored twice tonight and added 1 assists for 3 points, with a plus-minus rating of +2.

Perhaps he'll be the first Canadian player since Jason Spezza to make it to the WJC at his first junior year? (Spezza made the team when he was 15, if I'm not mistaken).

I doubt that, I am willing to put money that he wasn't 15, 16 maybe...but definatly not 15, that is unheard of. Anyway, Crosby will definatly be invited to the Canadian National Junior Camp. He will get a long look.

Well, I remember reading on some web site that Jason made the team on his first junior year... and the fact of the matter is, he started playing in the OHL at the age of 15. I'm not the one who's making up this stuff...

Anyways, that wasn't really my point. What I meant is Crosby is a very special talent, and judging by reactions on the first games he's played with Rimouski, he's in for a great season, and to fight for a spot for Canada's junior team line up.

I am positive he was 16, he played on the fourth line. Just like Crosby will if he makes the team.

Spezza and Jay Bouwmeester made the team as 16 year olds. I believe JBo was the youngest ever.

No, Spezza was 16 when he made the WJC Canadian team. In fact, atleast 4 players have made the team at that tender age. They include Lindros, The Great One, Bowmeester and Spezza.
