And no, probably wouldn't have played a full season, but it can still be said that he didn't look out of place in the NHL despite being a bird boy. That's impressive.

I remember he had a high ankle sprain, what else did he get?
Brisebois, Lapointe & Lefebvre?

Another bust by timmins, the guy doesn't look like he enjoys playing hockey, glad he is gone

Leblanc sucks and likely won't reach the condition.

So, where are all those people who thought Leblanc had value ? Yeah, you know who you are. All you do is post terrible trade proposals here and on the trade forum.

anyone know what the condition is? We better be getting that 5th.

Kings got Clifford and Nolan from that draft with fewer picks and no first.

Bold prediction: he will get waived by the Ducks due to them having players in the same mold but better and Patrick Roy & the Avalanche will claim him.

Not true. Louis Leblanc WAS highly touted. I will repeat: he was seen as a pretty solid prospect. I've followed his minor league career and his last midget AAA, where he gained all the attention, was probably the best midget season I've witnessed in 30 years. He was simply amazing, and was touted to be a first round draftee.

Easy to blame the organisation today. Fact of the matter is, Leblanc was a pretty solid prospect. Shlit happens.

Wasn't he as high as the top 10-15 of Timmins?

Can we now put 2009 and all of its horrendous history behind us?

Worst year for the organization in awhile

That's what i was expecting as well. I really don't care about losing Leblanc but a cond 5th ?

Then again Timmins may work his magic and just pick another Gallagher in the 5th so who know how it can turn out

Leblanc is RFA i think so it's probably the Ducks qualifying him/re-signing him. If they don't we lose the pick

Surprised they got anything for him. Pretty obvious he wasn't in the org. plans. Andrighetto quickly passed him in the depth chart.

Well that's finally over.

Until LL gets a spot on Anaheim, then it starts up again So I hope we don't see Pouliot syndrome here . . .

Every time a prospect is drafted, his progression is contingent on the prospect putting in the work in the gym to become a real pro NHLer. You can have a good idea when you draft the player but you can never know if he will truly be dedicated to his career. Leblanc hasn't been. Can't blame the scouts.

A 3rd? Cmon dude. He's an AHL'er for life.

Thing is, if the draft wasn't in Montreal that year, he wouldn't have been picked by the Habs. It sucks that they had/chose to please the crowd that night instead of getting the best player available.

How was he the right guy to pick? I saw him busting from miles away.. My only relief was that we didn't take despres... In the end they were both bad picks

I think the condition is for them to agree to a contract....Leblanc's contract end in july.

Wow, it might be for nothing. A conditional. Talk about disappearing from the face of the earth. As bad as our other great prospect Fisher.

I'm sad to see him go and he will be a regular NHLer someday, just not with Montreal. He didn't really progress and he wasn't MB's pick so he got cut out of the depth chart. Goodluck in Anaheim, Louis.
