Bergevin shopping the #26 pick

I don't know if it's been posted elsewhere, but apparently Bergevin is shopping his first round pick.

Good thinking, IMO. Late first round picks are overrated recently anyways.

I'm all for that if it can land us something useful that will be effective immediately. I know "build through the draft" and all but that's a #26pick. If it was top 15 i'd be more hesitant about it

Habs should trade it for Scott Gomez

Yeah, and the article says he's looking at moving down OR up, depending on the offers he might get. Fine with that.

He's just merely evaluating all possibilities, as any good GM should do with any pick

Heard Mario Langlois say he met up with Bergevin today, who told him that the level of activity he's seeing so far, outdistances what he's seen in past years.

Maybe, just maybe -- for once it may not be just another pre-draft cliché. We shall see.
