Has anyone purchased the VIP Package before? Different seating or do you just get a t-shirt and lanyard?

Didn't include kids heading the NCAA route (eligibility issues). Not sure about USHL.
I wonder if Iiro Pakarinen would be there? I think Tyrvainen went a couple years ago. Similar situations.

I wonder if this means no UofA game. Which would be a shame. That's' always fun to go to.

Hmm, last year the Tournament ran from Sept 5th - Sept 9th. The Rooks/Bears game was the 10th. Maybe they flip it this year? I'd be surprised if they didn't have it.

Can you buy single games, or package only?

EDIT: Package only.

Also pretty pumped about catching some hockey in Penticton!

My neck of the woods.

If you are going for vacation make sure to hit up the wineries in Naramata. That time of year most of the tourists are gone and you won't have to deal with busy tasting rooms!

Summerland is also a cool town. Good old Jr B days.

Should be a good event.
Who are Edmonton's biggest/meanest prospects? Calgary looks to have some pretty big guys this year. Should be a few good scraps.

What would you recommend for bars? Definitely gonna ditch out on the Sunday games to watch NFL (Van vs Win, Vees exh) at Best Damn Sports Bar, but what would you suggest out of the remaining bars:

Barking Parrot
Blue Mule Nightclub
Club 535
Bar One
Kettle Valley Pub
Barley Mill Pub
Copper Mug Pub

Betker, Moroz, Khaira, Nurse and Chase are all willing combatants, but none of them are close to Kanzig's class, so put a leash on that guy.

Kanzig is a big boy, but I think Moroz could hold his own. Mitch isn't huge, but man can he throw them, and he is a very 'talented' fighter as well. He reminds me a bit of Chris Neil, with more talent.

Kanzig's has 2 inches and 30lbs on Moroz. I don't doubt MM would be willing, but I don't see him coming out on top. Kanzig just looks like a mean mofo

Some of our bigger boys to look out for, for those who are attending the tourny. Of course we have Gaudreau (if playing) to bring the average way back down.

Keegan Kanzig 6'7" 245
David Wolf 6'3" 215
Van Brabant 6'2" 205
Hunter Smith 6'7" 208
Michael Ferland 6'2" 215

Chase rarely fights.

Betker and Moroz are tough SOB's though.

My guess is the Oilers invite a Coke Machine or two so that the prospects aren't having to fight too many of their own battles.

These guys remind me of the good ole days of Oilers and coke machine draft. These guys are all horrible. The oilers should bring Baddock and another facepuncher to deal with them. Just glad they didn't waste a pick on them

There's a couple goons in the CHL to get. Ferland is like a Hamilton.

Either way, comparing goon prospect is a backwards approach if you want to improve your NHL team.

"isn't horrible", that's some faint praise. Kinda sounds like the Oilers drafting strategy.
