i heard yesterday that Cristobal Huet will come here in St pierre and miquelon in august with arnaud briand (st pierre native). I'll give you some news once he'll be here, i'll probably meet him, st pierre isn't a big town.

have a look here:
http://www.bgh2000.fr.st/
They have four major teams:
-Division 2 (I think next year they are in Division 1)
-Juniors
-Veterans
-"Loisirs"

Yes Bordeaux was a finalist in D2 last season, losing vs my hometown team of Tours. Both teams won their accession to D1.
Bordeaux is a nice place... and the rink, Meriadeck, is one of the most beautiful in France. Unfortunatly, the rink is also used for a lot of things (music shows...).

My friend (Jean-Philippe Roy) just signed with a France team and I 've never heard about them at all. Anybody can help me and tell me what is: Le Vézinet.

I've googled it, but everything that comes up is blur to me. What is the team or the quality of hockey like ?

Le Vésinet is a town near Paris. They play in Division 1, it means the 2nd level of French hockey.
It's a good level... Le Vésinet finished 5th of this level last season so it's one of the best teams (it means about 20th French team).
The link is good, it's "les Anges" (Angels).
Official site: http://hockeyvesinet.free.fr/
Not great, but most of French teams don't have a lot of money and the websites are designed by fans, not professionnals.

I'm not the author but the publisher...
It's official, I send the contract a few days ago. We'll try to publish that in the 1st semester of 2007. Nice book, very promising. Anything about French hockey since the beginning in the late 1890's...

If you have some photos about hockey in St Pierre, you're welcome... PM me!

Hey guys,

Just wondering if there's an approximate schedule for the upcoming French hockey season. Like when I arrive in early January, what part of the season will we be in?

Also, does anyone know if Rouen's games are televised in Rouen?

Thanks again!

Here's the link to the Ligue Magnus schedule.

Playoffs start just after I believe...

And, I don't think there's a chance to catch the games on TV, in Rouen or wherever.

(Local TV channels are still something fairly new and undeveloped in France.)

Hi guys

Just to let you know that there's one more frenchie on board !
Hi to the people from SPM. Good to see that we talk about hockey from there (some people in France consider SPM players as foreigners)

SPM is not known enough compared to the numbers of good players they provide to the french league.

So, you must know Andy F. who will play for Chamonix this year.
He's a good friend of mine

Sure I will !
If you play junior in Bordeaux, you will probably play with the Juniors of Anglet. You will certainly have some games vs Chamonix this year.
