In Junior, one of the best teams, with Mont-Blanc, Rouen and Grenoble.
In Senior, hard to say. The average teams are very close. They all have very good GK.
In the Net, Radek Lukès is #1, but who knows...
2006-2007 season started yesterday.
Because of several problems (some documents missing for both teams), the game between Amiens and Dijon was delayed.
Dijon was relegated to D3 because of papers problems... so Ligue Magnus has 13 teams instead of 14 (Dijon will try to change the decision with the French olympic comity).
what? they've been release d as far as the D3...? what happened?
They didn't give the papers needed at this level to the federation in time... It seems they have some financial troubles as well but it's unclear. The olympic comitee gave its answer to the decision recently. Dijon must give the papers before next week to save the season in Magnus. Dijon's president retired. Hopefully the whole situation will be cleared very soon.
Latest results : MAGNUS Day 3 (september 23th 2006)

Good news, Dijon is saved! The team finally ave the needed papers and will play the season in Ligue Magnus with a 9 pts penalty. 3 games will be re-scheduled.
Me again. I see on the HockeyFrance website that 3 of Rouen's games from the Continental Cup were shown on TV on Sport+.
Are games being on Sport+ a fairly rare occurence? Also is Sport+ a basic TV station in France that most people get, or is it a satellite-only type channel?
Sport + is a satellite channel.
I believe that the games broadcasted on Sport+ can be downloaded on a peer to peer (emule), if you want to have an idea of the French level.
Last year, ice-hockey teams had to pay the broadcast costs to Sport+ . With the new independant Ice Hockey federation, things have changed.
I'm new here, and have been trying to catch up, but need some more background. I'm a huge hockey fan in the States (NHL, AHL, ECHL, UHL, and on down the line), and I'm going to be in Paris from 1/3/07 (or 3/1/07, you would say) until 5/30/07. i'd love to catch up with the French hockey scene and maybe check out a couple games.
So what is the breakdown of leagues? How much do tickets generally cost? What's the nearest team to Paris? And what rules to the leagues follow? NHL or IIHF or what?
Thanks so much.
There is three teams in the suburb of Paris playing into the first division playoff (the division just under the Magnus League) : Le Vésinet, Neuilly sur Marne and Courbevoie (the best of this three teams).
A little more away from Paris (near 200 km), there is also two very good teams playing in Magnus League: Dragons of Rouen and Gothiques of Amiens.
In first division, ticket generally cost between 6 and 10$.
I ran into an old friend of mine on Monday night, I knew he was playing hockey in Europe, but I thought he was in Italy. Turns out he is in France and playing with another guy that I know. he said the 2 of them were playing on a very good team and were both doing extremely well. can anyone confirm this, and maybe anyone have any pictures of them...
the guy i saw was Franco Subrani. and the other guy i know is Domenic Perna. I know Perna better then I know Franco.
I know both were very good players here in Montreal.
T'as de bonnes connaissances Jaydee.
