E. Kane to Buffalo

To Winnipeg:
2nd overall
Tyler Myers
Andrey Makarov/Gustov Possler/William Carrier

To Buffalo:
Evander Kane
Alexander Burmistrov
9th overall
2015 1st

Buffalo gets a top winger, possible Center if Burmi comes back, Good depth pick at 9, and 2015 1st which Buffalo looks to be adding.

Winnipeg gets Ekblad or Reinhart. Both positions of need. Myers who would fit right in with Buff, and Trouba. And Makarov, a kid with tons a potential in net. Or Possler/Carrier.

A goalie prospect is not necessary. The Jets are good enough there prospect wise to not need another prospect in goal.

I don't think Myers and this year's 2nd is worth Kane, this year's first, AND next year's first. Without the 2015 1st there I might think about it, but with a good forward propsect/ELC contract rather than Makarov.

Switch Makarov out with Gustov Possler? or William Carrier?

Way too much from the Jets side, not even close.

No way in hell is Buffalo doing this.

Centers and D-men are more important then Wingers.

More interested in Carrier, but again, with that 2015 1st in there this is a pretty easy no from the Jets perspective, in my opinion.

Lol great perspective... way to be narrow minded.

1. I dont have any Centers on the Sabres side of the trade being moved...
2. We have an over abundance of Defense right now.
3. I value Kane more than anyone in the top of this Draft.
4. Our Franchise center will come in the 2015 draft.

Take out the 2015 1st and its closer, but I think Buffalo would say no then. I think E Kane is very overrated on these boards and is a 60-70 point player at best.

#2 pick will most likely be a Center. (Reinhart, Bennett, Dras)

One dimensional wingers are not who you sell the farm for...

One dimensional?...

Selling the farm... getting the 9th overall and a 2015 1st. Not to mention a center in Burmistrov coming back.

And FYI Kane was considered a center as well at draft time. Only real center is Reinhart. Bennett and Drai will be wingers in the NHL.

Way too many trading pieces, value is there from both sides but I don't think Buffalo would do it, much rather get Reinhart/Ekblad from that 2nd pick. Maybe something around Myers for Kane could be done if we drafted Ekblad.

This is pretty bad for Winnipeg too..... It's a move screaming "we don't know what we're doing" ...

We're trading away a core piece of our team for futures ...while also dealing away futures... It's like which way are they going? Rebuilding or what. ?

You know it buddy. It's funny when both sides say no. Usually means it's a fair deal from an outside perspective. If Reinhart goes number 1 I hope the sabres trade out of 2.

Your comments are awesome. The trade is Myers for Kane and then 2nd and a spec for 9, 2015 1st and burmi. Winnipeg gets their top need in Myers. How does this make it a rebuild? Lol

Weird, I didn't know Myers was a starting goalie. And another right handed defenseman to the Peg? Even tho they have Trouba, Bogo and Buff? Not sure I see Myers as being the centerpiece in a Kane deal.

No thanks from Buffalo. We should be sending out quantity to get quality, not vice versa.

I never said it made it a rebuild... I said I don't know what the hell they are doing in this trade. Why is Myers their top need? They have Trouba, Buff, Bogo and Enstrom with Joshua Morrissey on his way.

Was there news about Burmistrov wanting to come back to the NHL I don't know why a team would trade for a guy who doesn't want to play here

70 points would be a top 20 scorer league wide and 60 would be a top 50.

Yikes, no. 2nd overall and Myers and the best thing we get back is a 50-60 points winger?

Didn't realise Myers is a righty, which makes it pretty much the LAST need for the Jets with Bogosian, Trouba, and Byfuglien who is a forward now but is listed as a defenceman and would play there.

So Kane for Myers opens a LW hole while adding to the logjam for right handed defencemen on the Jets. So there's problem number 1.

Problem number 2 is that you've valued this year's first and a prospect, for two first round picks and Burmistrov. That's a bit of an overvalue on this year's number 2 and Carrier. The Jets are in a tough Central division. Realistically, we're looking at another pick in this sort of range in a much better 2015 draft.

Just because both sides hate it doesn't make it a good deal for either team.

Evander Kane is over-rated. Not a player you build around. A solid 2nd line winger but his ****** attitude hurts his value a little too.

Not saying I'm a fan for either team but Pavelec has been anointed the starter next year so that 2015 1st is not going to be any lower than 14, its likely to be quite a bit higher IMO (also the 2014 9th OA is going to Buffalo).

Maybe Winnipeg could throw in their 1st round picks in 2016, 2017 & 2018 to even it out.
