Kesler wants Chicago or Pittsburgh... This isn't even a possibility. How many times does this guy have to be dead wrong before we stop posting his crap?

Eklund isn't drunk......he knows that a Tor rumour means traffic to his site. So he's pretty smart. Leafs fans who like trade will latch onto this. The ones who don't like it will say Eklunds is an idiot. Seen it so many times. Heck I've seen Leafs bash Eklund mercilessly when a trade isn't in their favour but when he says "Phaneuf to Edm is close" they talk about as the rumour is legit

To be fair, the Leafs pop up in every trade rumor, Eklund or not.

Kesler won't waive to come to another Canadian city imo, no need to have a pissing match between Canucks/Leafs imo.

Toronto is an interesting choice considering that they are desperate for a 1C and the Sens won't trade them Spezza. Vancouver likely wants to ship Kesler out of the conference.

Let's just hope this is not the 1 time Eklund is right, because that would be terrible for the Leafs. I'd take Reimer (or whatever he fetches) and Kadri over Kesler any day. Heck, I'd just take Kadri over Kesler; Kadri has been better than him (at what they are going to be slated to do anyways) in my opinion (and I don't have an overly positive opinion on Kadri).

Why are we even chasing a center anyways? We don't need some over priced veteran when we have Bozak, who just had a career year (and immense amount of chemistry with Kessel and JVR) and Kadri, whose a solid 2C who still has some potential to be a 1C some day. Very few proposals really tell us what we are going to do with Bozak (our number 1 center) when we acquire one? Why not just find a top 6 winger to replace Lupul? That would make more sense, because we can at least have a clear plan of how that will turn out. Or go after capable defense? There's a good plan too. Or acquire picks and prospects like we should have done at the trade deadline when I knew we were going to have a top 10 pick even though we were in the playoffs at the time. I have faith in Nonis... for now at least.

Not that I really want to feed into Eklunds ******** but on what planet is Kadri better than Kesler? Why because he got 7 more points than him this year?

Eklund is awful. I wish his stuff would not be posted here, it's all made up or bad speculation.

Sounds like your giving this rumour some credibility. None of the Canadian teams are on his list so really it's a waste of time even thinking about the possibility.

If Vancouver wants a younger center in return with upside I'm curious which teams would have one avalible better then Kadri?

Very likely none the second piece is almost always better than Reimer though.

You don't take a deal because you're position specific in your return. That's how you run organizations into the ground.

BTW, do we know what Kesler's list is? I've heard Chicago, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Anaheim, etc, but do we have confirmation?

The defense needs changing as the first priority but there also needs to be some changes to the forward group.
