Oct. 29 vs. Capitals

Hi everyone - I am thinking about coming down for the game on Sat. Oct. 29 because it's my birthday. I will be 22 - again. I just had a few questions I was hoping some of the locals might be able to help me out with.

1. Are there any hotels within walking distance of the arena?
2. Is there anything else fun to do within walking distance of the hotel?
3. What are your recommendations for places to stay/things to do?
4. Are tickets available on game night or do I need to buy tix in advance?

thanks and rock on
hg

Against the caps, there will DEFINITELY be tickets available. I don't know about hotels within walking distance but there are some not too far. The sawgrass mills mall is gigantic and is across the street from the BAC (lol so used to callin it the ODC) so that's definitely something that you can do to have fun.

The Sawgrass Mills Mall is right across the street and has a ton of shops, restaurants, and a movie theater. I don't think their is a hotel in walking distance, there is a few hotels about 10 miles east in Plantation. There should be tickets available on game night and people trying to sell some. 22 again hmm? Don't lie I am going to that game btw. So maybe we could hang out between periods.

I believe there is an Embassy Suites on Sunrise Blvd near Panther Parkway. It is walking distance, but its about 1.5-2 miles away. We should all hang out between periods, lets make it a "Happy Birthday Happy Girl and lets hang out between period" games.

Q. What are some hotels near the BankAtlantic Center?
A. The Marriot Coral Springs Hotel, Golf Club and Convention Center is the official hotel of the BankAtlantic Center.

Actually it's a Crown Plaza hotel and it's within walking distance. It's right next to the Sawgrass Mills Mall on the south side (Sunrise blvd just west of Flamingo). I am also a STH so if you all meet up don't forget to let me know so I can come hang out too.

I will let you know if I am able to come to the game that weekend - depends a lot on if I can get a good deal on a flight. But it would be an AWESOME way to spend my birthday! Maybe the Panthers could sing Happy Birthday to me!
