Who is the head of the BWO?

So now that MacDaddy is gone who is the head of the BWO?

For once I think there might actually be something worthwhile for the BWO to do, but I'll take that up with whomever your leader is

Northern Dancer/Dutchy.....one of you perhaps?

With the Mayor in retirement and myself to busy with work to give bWo the time it needs I would suggest that DutchLeafsFan is next in line however being a Mod, he may feel compromised. ThinkBlue, Dar, Gilmour's Way are definately bWo leadership worthy!! But perhaps bWo should also go into retirement as the Leaf Board seems very active and one of the bWo mandates was to bring some enthusiasm to the board. Perhaps BWo has fullfilled its usefullness and should retire till the playoffs when we can regroup and get even with SOB !!!!!!

Thanks for the endorsement ND, but I disagree that the bWo should hibernate for a while. Who else is going to police Leaf fans with nutty proposals?

I'm interested to see what Rand has up his sleeve, it's not often he has the bWo in mind. I've also had a few ideas of my own to keep us going through the regular season, especially to maybe spice up a few friendly rivalries and keep the great one we had going with those sorry members of the SOB.

The bWo was one of the more fun aspects of the board and although yourself and Mayor Mac were the heart of it, I'm sure could still be kept alive. You may be too busy to scheme up ideas and follow them through, but I'm sure you could find time to participate.

Rand, PM me with this idea you have. I'll be glad to take some time out of my busy work day (yeah right) to help organize. I'm not the leader though, just helping out.

We will gladly welcome another bet. Just make sure the Leafs finish in the 7th spot, and we'll have another wager.

As much as I'd like to believe it'll be the SCF, I think 4th & 5th spots in the conference will be duked out between the two teams with a 1st round march up again.

Certainly a possibility; although I think the Flyers will win the Atlantic, and push the Devils down to the 4th seed.

I think the East will look like this

1. Senators
2. Flyers
3. Lightning
4. Devils
5. Islanders
6. Leafs
7. Rangers
8. Bruins

9. Capitals
10. Hurricanes
11. Sabres
12. Panthers
13. Canadians
14. Thrashers
15. Penguins

I like the look of that.

That works, although I'd prefer to see the Sens take on NYR in the first round. Still think the Sens would win, but the Rangers will do more damage IMO.

I'll mention it to Dutchy first and see what he thinks, I doubt it'll need much organization in any case.

Wishful thinking IMO, I'm betting the Devils hang onto the Atlantic for another year.

Their much the same team that won the Atlantic last year.

Philly has improved up front with Amonte for the whole year, but downgraded to merely average goaltending.
Dropping Yushkevitch, while adding Pitkanen won't make a substantial difference on D for next year.

I should note that I'm one of those that considers Chechmanek one of the best in the NHL, so his loss is a definite downgrade in my mind.
I figure Philly will slot into 4'th again.

The difference last year was 1 point. Add in Amonte for a full season, and a healthy Gagne (scored just 9 goals last year) IMO enough to overcome a slight downgrade in regular season goaltending.

Devils were also very injury free last year.

If we're talking potential leaders of the classy and soon to be legendary bWo, then I'd just like to nominate a few candidates who stand out (exluding ND, and the mods)

ThinkBlue
TOR TOWN
go pierre hedin
Dar

Honourable Mentions go to: monkey_00, LeafArmy (alot of good posts)

Thanks for the kind consideration........but I feel that since I'm still fairly new in here that the position should go for a more senior participant of these Forums over here..........

I was just wondering as well with this B.W.O. do we have nights where we all get together and watch a Leafs game somewhere at a downtown Toronto Sports Bar?.........I mean seeing how alot of us here are from the G.T.A. I thing organizing something like this is a pretty good idea........and another great idea is organizing a trip down to Buffalo to watch Leafs game down there........I did that a couple of times last season and would be able to help out in organizing such an event/trip...what do you all think?

All right....I'll be busy with school for the next week or so with a couple of projects but once I get done with them I will see what I can do and get some opinions from everyone in here about organizing a night or two during the regular season when we can get together and watch a Leafs game from somewhere at a downtown Toronto Sports Pub...........maybe even have a Poll deciding on which Pub to watch the game from.........there's also a couple of other places in town that organize Bus trips down to Buffalo for Leafs-Sabres games.......they manage to get quite a few buses down to Buffalo more so for NFL Bills games but a couple times as well for NHL Sabres-Leafs matchups......what do you all think about these ideas?........
