Dodgers, Angels, Rams, Lakers, and Clippers Discussion IV

I don't know about you guys, but I want no part of Carmelo on the lakers. The guy is not a winner imo.

Go Rams!

Or both? Seems a bit too ambitious and crazy of an idea to me though.

ESPN reported the Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks are making plans to take a shot at bringing in one or both marquee free agents.

James could be back in Miami, and the Heat remain ahead of the rest of the crowded pack to re-sign him. If James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh opt out as expected and Udonis Haslem declines a one-year option, Miami would free up more than $50 million. Only backup point guard Norris Cole would be under contract.

The Lakers are trying to clear about $33 million, enough to bring in James and Anthony at $16.5 million annually to team them with Kobe Bryant. Many criticized Bryant for not taking less money when he signed a two-year, $48 million contract

I'd love Lebron, but that's not happening. Unfortunately, I do think there's a good chance that the lakers land Carmelo. He and Kobe are pretty tight, and with Kobe retiring in a year (?), it'll be Carmelo's team. Bleh!

Cleveland magically recieves 3 first overall draft picks in 4 years. Lebron opts out. Hello media frenzy again. The only thing Lebron loves more than himself is a good story....about himself. Prepare for all of the Cleveland Cavs flirting.

I don't see Lebron that way, but then again, I probably don't follow b-ball as much as you do.

So does Lebron opting out allow him to possibly restructure his deal for more money? Or if he returns does the contract stay the same?

Like I Said before, you DO NOT build around Carmelo Anthony and I previously read a scouting report that said so.

I have no problems with him and I'm sure he'd be a cool dude to have a beer with, but I do consider him a diva.
