Goalies better than Lack:

Rask
Miller
Ward
Crawford
Varlamov
Bobrovsky
Lehtonen
Howard
Brodeur
Schnieder
Luongo
Quick
Lundqvist
Price
Rinne
Anderson
Bryzgalov
Fleury
Niemi
Halak
Elliott
Bishop
Riemer
Pavelec
Bernier
Holtby
Voukun
Thomas
Hiller
Smith
Mason

Calgary, Edmonton, Buffalo, Anaheim are the only teams who don't have absolutely better goaltending than us, and even those teams' fans probably have something to say about that.

I don't know how else to say it, Lack is just an absolutely dreadful goaltender. Hey, Gillis wasn't fired for no reason after all.

Well, yeah, if Anaheim was interested in him I'd think he'd jump all over it.

Do not want Miller. I'm happy to let one of Lack, Eriksson or Markstrom run with it.

I think Lack is solid, he just got thrown into the deep end last season.

You kind of explained it yourself.

As long as we understand that the rumors news1130 posts come from agents. Be wary of some of the rumors they post. If an agent tells them something they want out in the public, they will post it.

If they post so-so received a qualifying offer, or someone signed a contract then yes its reliable.

They were pedaling info from tanevs dad who was trying to be his agent last year warning the canucks of a pending offer sheet. I assume thats why they have good connections with agents because they will put news out the agents wants to get out.

I would be extremely happy with Lack as a starter. The only problem is that Tortorella played him 20 games straight without a break and he went from playing the occasional game in every 3 or 4 to a starter's load. It just showed me that Lack couldn't handle a 70-75 season, but would be a very good 1a goalie.

I would be happy with Miller on a two year deal. Good stopgap for Miller to share the load with Lack while Lack's load continues to grow. Not sure if Miller would be happy with that sort of situation (probably not), but that's how I would imagine Miller would fit in on our team.

Also, keep Bolland the hell away from the Canucks, I don't care if he offers the Canucks a good deal for him to join the team, I don't want him.

Stay away from Bolland. a 3C that wants to get paid like a 1C/2C.

Wouldn't mind Miller if we can manage to hang onto Kesler.

But Anaheim isn't looking for a #1 goalie. It's been reported multiple times Anaheim wants to stick with their kids duo of Andersen-Gibson next season.

Noooooo bad move. Adding Miller would only hamper our chances of getting McDavid. This move could put us into the 7th-9th seeds. Middle of nowhere. Swept in round 1 and not high enough draft pick. Don't do it Benning!!!

Maybe Bolland will be packaged in a trade later on or at the deadline. I think Benning has plans.

What the ****? I want Lack to start, what's the point of grooming solid young goalies if you never intend on letting them start? ****ing stupid.

I would think it means trading Markstrom and Ericsson becomes the Comets starter, but thats just purely my guess.

People will say we only just acquired Markstrom but that's a Gillis acquisition, new management won't be too proud to trade him.

I wouldn't be against us going for Miller if it looks like we can compete soon... but with the looks of it we're trading kesler and rebuilding i don't really think miller is necessary and feel completely comfortable with Lack, he was just overplayed the last 20 games.

not going to bash the canucks organization on this one. that mess before was gillis. I'm 100% sure if linden and benning are here then luongo or schneids is still here and no talk. these guys know lack isn't ready for prime time......

Bolland I can deal with. Id rather stick with Lack than overpay for miller when he only shows up once every four years so he can make the Olympic team

If reports are true I'm already throwing in the towel for new management. Lack should be taking the starting role and what a joke if they throw away Markstrom to waivers. Bolland at 7x5???? WHAT A STEAL!!!! Like we don't already have people who can fill Keslers shoes (not quite but why sign the next Brad Richards). Drafting and developing, I don't want to see any trades or signing for older/end of prime players. That's what Benning is all about so I have hope he does this.

I'd be pretty happy with Miller on the Canucks, at the right price of course. Could definitely use a stable starting goaltender...the Lack/Markstrom tandem doesn't exactly inspire any confidence.
