Not interested in Bolland. Especially at what he's demanding. Ridiculous numbers.

However, I think the goalie market has really softened and Miller's performance in St Louis dropped his market value (though I think he's being a bit scapegoated and is still a heck of a goaltender). If it's true that he wants to live in this area, and San Jose, Anaheim, and L.A. aren't interested, I could see us getting a sweetheart deal. I'd certainly give him 5.5 for 2 years.
He may find more than that somewhere, but this price isn't impossible if he's left without a chair when the music stops.
If it's not him, maybe we get Hiller for 4.5 a year for 2 years. I would do either in a heartbeat. But I'd prefer Miller.

I'd like to add, Lack wasn't ready yet, the team collapsed, and Tortorella gave the worst coaching performance since John Maclean in 2010-2011. With a new coach, and a good goaltender, I suspect we're a playoff team. People who think we should, or can, 'tank' with this roster are completely incorrect. The team is too good. We're not a top 10 team now, but we're between 12 and 17. Pending tweaking around and improving it a bit. Add Miller and I would almost guarantee that we trend closer to 11th or 12th.

Both would be seriously idiotic moves. Because we definitely need more borderline 3/4 centers at UFA prices, that will sure help us re-tool.

Why you would sign Miller when you are not going to be challenging hard in the playoffs immediately and have Lack, Markstrom and Eriksson who all have serious potential...

I really hope Linden/Bennig stay the **** away.

ugh, no kidding right. Like we really need another veteran goalie, rollie will coach Lack and Markstrom up to speed (hopefully) I still hold quite a bit of stock in that goalie tandem...

Ryan Miller was just checked into the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Reservation was made by the Canucks' account.

Don't believe me if you don't want to. But that is 100% for sure.

Don't mind Miller on a short term deal.

Not with Kassian in the line-up.

He is quoting a poster on the Canucks board. Seems like he spotted him at a downtown hotel. His wife is also in town to film a movie so who knows.

I am not a fan of Miller but if he is willing to sign for 2 years I could support the idea of him coming to Vancouver. Might go 3 or even 4 years but without a NTC of any significance. Same thing with Hiller.

I see it as being 2 years maximum. He's an aging goalie that wants to be closer to his wife, Hollywood North ain't too far away she may prefer to find more work here as well.
