If they are interested in Myers, the 15th OA or, dare I say it, Anthony Mantha

I kid Wings fans, I kid.
Interesting that they are looking at someone on a long term contract like that.

I would think some salary would need to come back too.
Sproul was the CHL defenceman of the year who just played his first pro season in the AHL.

In that first year he scored 11 goals and 21 assists.

He has a booming shot, and is an excellent PP quarterback with great skating. His defence needs work though, at times he seems like an extra forward out there.

Honestly a lot of us Wings fans are less willing to part with him than any of our other defence prospects.

Arizona needs offense. Not sure trading out best offensive player is a smart move.

Ryan Sproul is a 6'3 RHD some consider him a be a right handed Niklas Lidstrom he has a booming shot he just needs to work on his defense some. He would be a great fit for Buffalo.

I don't really like those type of D-men.

Reminds me of MAG and Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre ...

So he's a Krug?

At least he's not a squirt.

We definitely use either player. I'd like to keep Nyquist, Sheahan, Mantha, and Jurco if possible though.

Not me Myers is only 24 and that's what Ken Holland is looking for a young player under long term contract.

I'd want Smith, Tatar, 2014 1st, 2015 1st

For

Myers, 31st overall, 49th overall

Buffalo gets more ammo in 2015, a trade up for another 2014 1st, a LWer, and a LH'd d-man to step into their top 4.

Whaaat.

Most consider him to be a bigger Mike Green. Sproul and Lidstrom are so different that they barely play the same sport, let alone the same position.

I think you should keep those players you listed here. I don't know what Buffalo would want for Myers, but these 2 teams make interesting trade partners for sure. Maybe a multiple player swap with a pick or more in the mix.

Nobody in the world considers him a right handed Lidstrom.

Nope Detroit is trying to get much bigger on the back end, Especially having to face Boston. Myers would be a great fit in Detroit.

Where his defensive game ends up is a question, but he has the highest ceiling among Detroit's blueline prospects. He can help NHL teams offensively right now, but it's in his best interest long term to spend another year in the AHL working on his overall game.

Elite shot, good size, and a very good skater and poise in the offensive zone. He played to end the season for Detroit and looked like he could man a NHL PP instantly. He's to last Detroit blueline prospect I'd want to trade (because the others are more similar in the mold of defensive, 2-way guys), but Myers is a guy I'd probably move him for.

Smith is another option. Looked very good on Detroit's top pairing to end the season and playoffs, but Babcock for some unknown reason refuses to put him on the PP.

I'm not talking overall ability of course not, I'm more talking about his heavy shot his booming shot is similar to Lidstrom. Sproul possibly could score around at least 40-45 points per season in the NHL.

Needs work sure. But he's pretty solid outside of his brainfarts..which he cut down dramatically last year.

Sproul's shot is WAY harder than Lidstrom's, but not even close when it comes accuracy.

I forget if it was a scout or an opposing coach who said that when Sproul winds up for a slap shot there are only 3 possibilities, he scores, someone gets hurt or a pane of glass gets broken.

We can only hope that he works on that shot and scores tons of goals, We surely dont want him to hurt any one or break to many panes of glass.
