It was him or Burish. I had to go with him. He scored more goals than Ovechkin on Jumbos wing.

It's all about the individual stat ratings.

Leaf fan coming in peace. Just traded for him in my fantasy league, what do you Shark fans have to say for him?

Better than Fedorov and possibly Lemieux. Slightly worse than Kadri.

According to Doug Wilson, he will be telling Joe Thornton where to line up at the dot and when to change.

judging by the response, its pretty obvious that most of us have really no clue what he will put up this year, or even if he'll actually end up playing a full season with us. Its really all up in the air.

He may get 9 games but I would be very (pleasantly) surprised if he stayed up any longer. As long as he isn't rushed but I doubt his defensive game is ready.

The thing I worry about is Dustin Brown elbowing his head off in the season opener.

So are we gonna sign this guy or what? Especially with all the talk of him playing next season.

There's not really any rush. I'm sure they are talking considering his agent is Larionov who the organization has good relations with. They'll look at him in training camp and evaluate from there I bet.

Incredible offensive tools/skating, bad but improving defensive tools, poor on-ice work ethic.

Goldobin is more talented than any of our other prospects and, frankly, more talented than most forwards on the actual team. A lot of the criticism of him seems to be dealing in typical Russian player stereotypes. He handles the puck a lot so he turns it over a lot, no different than Joe Thornton.

No a lot of the criticism is him not having the puck. Him having the puck is where fans get all wet in the pants for what he can do.

Offensive zone and defensive zone without the puck at the very least pre ahl season is where fans get worried about him.

Or he's a pretty lazy player and needs to fix that side of his game.

I'll take a "lazy" player who puts up crooked numbers in junior, hangs in Liiga as a teenager, puts up 44 points in 60 games in his rookie AHL year and can make plays like this (2:14) in the NHL:

over a "hard worker" like Tierney or Wingels or whoever any day

Best part of that video was the goal to make it 2-1. Stalock was down and no where to be found. Words used by the sharks tv crew lol.

Yet still can't crack the Sharks and looked overmatched when in the NHL. Good call coach!
