Solid size for a short guy.

Descheneau had 44 goals and 98 points in 70 games in the WHL this year. He's 5'8" 186, though.

Seems like size was a big factor in why Jaedon Descheneau fell. He's a sniper and hopefully, despite his size, his skillset can transition well to the pro game.

I think just about everyone is happy with the draft EB.

Really like the Descheneau pick. The guy has torched the WHL the last couple seasons. Seems like a great choice in the 5th round. If nothing else, he should be a great contributor to the Chicago Wolves.

We don't pick for a long time (22nd pick in 6th round). Lindblom just went. Kase and Tkachev are still available though.

Didn't realize Tkachev was still available. I doubt he makes it to our sixth, but maybe package our 6th and a 7th to move up and take him? I was thinking about him as a possible 3rd rounder for us I'd love if the Blues nab him.

Former Lindenwood University D-man, Daniel Walcott just got picked up by NYR in the fifth round.

Was hoping the Blues might take him, he's a speedy mobile offensive-D with nice puck skills and vision. Needs to bulk up but has NHL potential.

Tkachev, Holmstrom, Nikolishin, and Kulda still available. But we have like 26 more picks to go before us, ha.

Edit: Kase too.

Might be good to give up the 7th Rounder to grab Tkachev. He was rated a lot higher than a 6th Rounder.

Yep. He has size and defensive issues, but you can't pass up that kind of talent in later rounds. Late round picks shouldn't be about whether the player will hit their potential. I'd aim strictly for high ceiling picks.

10 more picks before us, and Kase, Tkachev, Nikolishin, and Kulda are still out there.

Maybe this has been brought up and I apologize if it has but is interesting that we are using our 3rd jersey in the draft?

I forgot about Lars' little brother, Mads Eller. We could go for him as well.
