Love the trade! Let's face it, Briere is getting older anyways and didn't really produce. We get someone who is younger, has some offensive potential and has a gritty side to him. Plus we get a 5th rounder to boot.

Good trade!

PAP could be a nice skilled winger for Galchenyuk like he was for Jonny T, could produce with Pleks, or could be a great fit with DD-Max Pac.

Either way they got rid of a 13th fwd for 4 million (hopefully keep Ryan White as the 13th for 750-1 mil)... and get some skills on RW.

Briere gets my respect for returning to MTL and I'm glad he got to wear his favourite Habs for the year, but he didn't work out and isn't worth that much cash to play so far down the lineup.

Deal one of many more to come?!

Very good trade.

Still very worried about the Gorges situation. Will wait and see I guess.

The extra year of contract.

I guess the 5th softens that.

Gotta give Briere respect, he wasn't a fit but he kept his mouth shut and didn't complain. He's a classy guy and had a couple big plays for us in the playoffs, but just wasn't what we needed.

I think this is a good move. PAP isn't good but better than some of the options available at RW in the market. No decent UFA will sign 2 years.

So we traded a guy that was playing on the 4th line for a RW we needed badly that will play on the 2nd or 3rd line.. AND we get a 5th round pick!!!!

ABSOLUTELY nothing to dislike about this trade

Good deal for both parties. Nobody can hate it from our own perspective. Good 5th rounder too, I will never hate a trade involving a pick. But we still need to unleash some salary at some point...time to move Moen, Budaj and Gorges.

Good deal.

think about it.

We got a RW out of this deal that will be good for 2/3rd line. He's 6' and physical.

We won't need to scramble for another RW and overpayment.

isnt Parenteau pretty much what like Latendresse was supposed to be? 2nd line winger with a bit of size?

Don't worry. Roy will find a way to make Brière work with the kids you guys are having. Brière wasn't playing here. He'll play now. Still not the type of player I like but he will have his points.

Not looking bad at all, and we're likely going to sign a forward or get one for Gorges.

Very good trade.

Nope, we even get 1 more year of a 4 mil cap hit, but there's no doubt in my mind that PAP > Brière with the current habs roster. We just had too many centers and too many small forwards.

It's nice to finally be winning deals. I'm happy, I'm sure Avs fans don't really mind too so good deal for both side.

And I doubt Parenteau's deal was longer than 2 years so that's good too.
