Spots For Our Youth

There are six spots taken by veterans that should make it.
Those veterans are

Jagr
Straka
Rucinsky
Nylander
Rucchin
Niemienen

There are eight spots left for the Rangers Youth that's with two backups
The candidates for the seven spots in no particular order are

Ward
Jessiman
Ortmeyer
Lundmark
Immonen
Prucha
Balej
Dawes
Hollweg
Moore
Giroux
Wiseman
Kozak
Fellardeau

Hope I didn't miss anybody.

On defense there are six regulars plus one baackup.
The regulars are
Poti
Kasparaitis
Malik
Tyutin

That leaves three spots between
In no Particular Order

Pock
Strudwick
Rozsival
Purinton
Ruiller
Lampman
Kondratiev

Also maybe more Rookies.

Probably Weekes starting as #1 and Lunqvist to back him up unless Montoya
proves he's better than Lunqvist.

Montoya is def gonna start in Hartford. Maloney said it himself. Look at the rookie camp photos and youll see that Lundqvist already is donning a new NYR mask. Id say thats reason enough to see a precamp decision has been made. Whether or not Montoya outplays him, hes two years younger and has no professional level experience.

Thats a nice layout you got there. Looks about right

If I had to call it now, I would add the triad of Betts, Ward and Ortmeier to the list of 6 you gave..And none of these are really a youth....

I think there will be a battle for three spots (say strudwick will be the 13th forward) amongst the likes of Lundmark, Moore, Giroux, Murrray, Prucha, Hollweg and others...MY call right now is Prucha, Hollweg and the winner of Giroux/Balej...

On D, I think it's all set with Poti, Kaspar,Malik,Roszival,Tyutin and Kondraitev with Lampman and Rullier MAYBE fighting for a 7th spot...

I think it is too early and he needs one year in minors but that can happen.

Jessiman should play in the minors for at least 1 year. No reason to bring him up now with the youth on the the team.
