That whole Brassard, Zuccarello, Pouliot line killed it. Im afraid the chemistry was that good.

Pretty much a goodbye to Moss too. We have to pay for Petry and Schultz.

Gross.
Because obviously those 2 would have definitely signed with us otherwise

He brings what the Oilers core doesn't have.
Playoff experience.

He has got a nice mix of size and skill. He's 6'03" and was third among NYR forwards in hits. He's definitely got decent skill too. This makes him able to play on 2nd line, or 3rd line. Surrounded with the skill we have in our forward group, I really think we could see his numbers increase while still bringing the other aspects we don't currently have.

Isn't the whole point of advanced analytics that you can get a bargain on a player who might not have the counting stats that some might not notice?

I'm afraid to go outside this forum right now. Holy christ what a gross deal.

I'm in complete shock with this. He'll be traded or bought out long before this deal is up.

Terrible, terrible deal.

Call me what you like. But you do not give 20mill to a third line guy who is a third line guy at best

I'm just glad to see all the top 9 wingers solidified.
I really hope we get a C today, so that we don't have to go into opening day with the worst C depth in the league.

@TSNRyanRishaug
Watched Pouliot closely in playoffs, plays quite a physical game which will be welcome down the middle in Edmonton.

Does Rishaug know more then we do?... Down the middle? Center?!?

Rishaug says he plays physical which will help down the middle...does he play physical? He's certainly a winger according to Wikipedia. Does Rishaug know anything?

Well, one season of Pouliot as our 2C. McDavid next season.

If there was any doubt, the Oilers have now fully bought into corsi when evaluating players.

At some point, a dude who leveled out as a 15-15-30 plus player with size and physicality was going to get a long term contract.

Too much money, too much term, probably makes us better. I'll worry about that **** when it actually hurts us.

Apparently, that was the Mark Fayne signing.

major overpayment, but its the only way we get FA to sign here

money aside, its a solid signing...big, physical winger that'll score 15 goals on 30 points

hopefully, he doesnt become Belanger 2.0

What if Yakupov explodes this season? Are we going to pay him with ))))s?

Does he really have a NMC?

If we can get a top 2 center, I'd be very happy.

15-21-36 last year will help our 3rd line immensely. MacT wanted a 3rd line that can score and he's building it.
