Pointless signing

Q will either use him at #2C or use him over Morin

Wonderful job Bowman

Is he really going to be our 2C? I would rather play TT... Kinda pointless.

We sign a very solid player for nearly minimum salary and people are complaining?

Sigh.

Good deal for a 13th FWD. Hopefully it means Mashinter won't be around.

Regin won't be our #2 Center

Regin is a good depth guy, nothing else.

Yeah. I felt like he would have got more ice time in the playoffs if he would have won some faceoffs. That seems like a problem for many of our centers lately.

I hope Q has a long enough memory to recall how good Regin was with Bickell and Morin for a few games. Happy to have him back.

Good signing, cheap guy who can fill in no problem with injuries.

Even if he does slot in at 2C sometime, he will be better than Zus

I'm fine with this as long as he stays out of the top 6. It's 2pm on day 1 of free agency. Before we all collectively crap ourselves because of all our division rivals loading up, let's see what our roster ACTUALLY looks like in October.

I don't see a position for him. Seems like a waste.

I think the problem is that some us don't believe he'll be the solution as 2c (which is where he'll end up) - obviously, there are others who think it will be fine.

Of course, I might be wrong and perhaps he'll excel in that role. I just have my doubts.

I don't see Q using him like Handzus. he doesn't like Regin near as much as he liked Zeus. But, anything can happen. I still see Shaw and/or TT taking that role for the majority of the year.

Q played this guy for 5 playoff games, averaging about 11 minutes of ice time.

These fears of him as 2C are based on his veteran status, not on Q's actual opinion of him. And yes, the two are actually different. Very correlated, but different.

I could be totally wrong. Q's done crazier things than play Regin at 2C. But I'm not seeing it.
