Have you been paying attention to some of the signings made today? Lots of teams would gladly pay Bickell 4M.

Hawks 2.2 million over the cap, Versteeg cap hit is 2.2 million. We finally found a perfect fit for Versteeg.

Buffalo will take all of your cap dumps as long as they come with 2015 draft picks

I'm sure the guy who just paid Dave freaking Bolland $5.5 million a year would take Bickell on that contract.

I would choose options 1 & 3. That would move close to 8 million in salary to cover the current overage and allow for some tweaking.

No one cheaper is filling Oduya's spot.

Bickell does seem to make the most sense.

Jets like doing business with you. Give ol Chevy a call. We have plenty O' mid round picks. Please.

I don't think anybody is going to do Chicago any favors to help them make cap. Sure they'll take a quality player off their hands, but don't expect much in return.

Benning will take Bickell off your hands. He loves his meat and potatoes. And he probably thinks Bickell's playoff scoring qualifies him for the top-six. So there you go.

What was Oduya's role on chicago in terms of icetime and specialty teams? Can he play either side?

Shutdown pairing with Hammer allowing Keith and Seabs to play against weaker opposition.

Assuming Montreal fails to sign/acquire any other RW, they might look at Versteeg.

If Subban and Eller don't cost too much and Montreal can deal Moen and/or Budaj somewhere else they might look at Bickell to make sure they have some floaters throughout the lineup.

Take your pick from Bickell, Versteeg, and Leddy.

Versteeg is most likely, then Leddy, then Bickell.

Nope!

First Versteeg, then Rozsival.

I think you'll need more than a few hundred k in cap space in case of short term injuries / trade deadline. I personally would want at least 2 million, so I think Bickell is the odd man out.

This. Whoever does go in this situation will not garner close to full value.

It's easiest if it's a forward so the roster spot doesn't have to be filled

Bickel and Leddy both fill a need for the Jets. What would it take?

We really don't care whether we get 50 cents on the dollar or 75 cents on the dollar. These are expendable players that have cheaper replacements from our prospect pool. We can turn Versteeg and Roszival into Morin and Johns... anything we get from the team we trade them for is graaavy.

Having said that, we were over the cap when we somehow got a high 3rd for Bollig this week.
