Well he will get good center. Star players always play with good players, if they let Jokinen play with malkin and he is on the same page with him, its only good sign.

Thought Tallon said he liked their chemistry in the Olympics, but it was only for a game and a half or so. Can't find the quote, but that's great if it's the case.

So was Marty St Louis what's your point?

Barkov is a great set up guy so hopefully they click.

I thought last offseason the Panthers had it set up to sign Fippula to play along side Barkov. That would have made a lot of sense. I'm glad they at least got a Finn in here to pair with him.

Guys dont get your hopes too high.. JJ is a good player but also really inconsistent. And he thrives on playing with good players. The ice time he got last season was just about right for him, not having to do too much.

If things start clicking right away then sure JJ can have close to a career-year but if they dont then he might also be a huge disappointment. The guy is all about confidence and he tends to lose it quite easily.

He's not a natural scorer either so even if he has chemistry with Barkov (who isnt a scorer in NHL yet) that doesnt mean it'll translate to goals.

Very interested to see how things pan out.

Boyes Jokinen Barkov Huberdeau…Luongo…I have a feeling our shootout woes are over. The refs are going to have to try even harder not to look obvious in screwing us toward 3rd period's end.

Jokinen pretty much sucks at shootouts now, hasn't been good in years.
