Nelson - Tavares - Okposo
Kulemin - Grabovski - Strome/Grabner
Clutterbuck - Nielsen - Grabner/Strome
Martin - Cizikas - McDonald/Lee

Just lose Bailey, who isn't worth much.

Isles shouldnt entertain an offer for Nielsen unless its for a bonafide top-pairing defenseman. That center is underrated as hell...

Why would anyone want Bailey though?

Hey, they have enough cap space to just scratch him and not worry. Point is they don't really need to move anyone. Depth and injuries effect every team's season anyway.

I'll offer up Perron straight up for Nielsen he would look great on Tavares wing, they both have good value on their current contract, but both will expire after this year. Perron is a more consistent offensive producer and is a more naturally gifted goal scorer, but Nielsen brings a better defensive game to the table.

Perron is not a player I want to give up and I'm sure Isles fans feel the same way about Nielsen, but Edmonton has a young center in RNH and will likely be playing Draisaitl so providing them insulation with another good center to take some heat off them will be key. Perron I'd say is a near ideal fit for meshing well with Tavares, and that line with Okposo would be a handful for any team to try and contain.

We have enough kids on the blue line, we need someone a lot more seasoned. We need a RD badly, we're pretty set on the left side.

I'd rather have Nielsen to begin with. Not sure why any Islanders fan would like this unless they're simply infatuated with Perron. Pretty easy "no" from NY, IMO.

Short term we definitely need a RD, since Pulock, Mayfield and Pokka are a year away. Perhaps Cizikas for Rozival and we roll with 4 lines that are scoring threat. If we trade Bailey, perhaps Josh for Franson.

Nelson + Bailey + Prospect/Pick for a top line LW or a top D

Isles probably wont be trading any forwards outside of maybe Bailey or Grabner.

Nelson-Tavares-Okposo
Kulemin-Grabo-Strome
Bailey/Lee-Nielsen-Grabner
Clutterbuck-Cizikas-Martin

Tavares, Okposo, Strome, and Nelson are not going anywhere. Nielsen would take a really good defenseman coming back, but I'd much rather resign him and keep him for the long haul.

Really the only forwards the isles would trade at the moment are Bailey/Grabner/Clutterbuck.

Phaneuf is a real deal player but the Isles say no. de Haan is a piece of the future and we don't get better by losing one of two best dmen.

Nielsen/Lee + Pokka is more like it from Isles perspective and the leafs laugh at that. They lose their best dman for futures and a legit 2nd/3rd line center.

Jets have a couple RHD that could fit well for you , and we have a need for forwards. Not saying it will happen but the two teams do make good trade partners imo.

If that was the case, the #5 overall would have been on the table, but nothing happened at the draft. We'll see.

Strome+(Depending on the +) could be enough to bring back a pretty good young Dman.
I would say outside of Tavares and Reinhart, Strome is probably the biggest untouchable on the team. He's not going anywhere. I can see either Neilsen or Grabner being traded, though I'd hate to see either go. I rather they trade Bailey++ for a Dman.

i would do this deal too but I would like the oilers to add to get Grabner as well because IMO the Oilers need some additional speed with all the medium speed trees they just brought in.

Zeeker had a very disappointing season, but I don't think the Isles are ready to give up on him yet. Still dirt cheap as he just finished his ELC. He admitted that he thinks he got complacent last year and vowed it won't happen again. Isles fans love the kid and will likely get a longer look before making a decision on his long term future.
