Why such low interest for Devin Setoguchi?

Help me understand, this guy can score 20 goals easy, he is a good skater and he's physical. He's only 27 years old and will not cost an arm and a leg. Why are there no takers yet?

He scored 30 goals over 3 years ago, and has seriously regressed. He also doesn't play a lick of defence. "If he's not scoring, he's useless", which he did only 11 times this year.

I wouldn't mind him signing with the Pens as long as he did what others are doing (cheap 1 year deals). Setoguchi on that top line is better than Dupuis.

This, and he's also an out of shape lazy party animal. Doubt anyone wants that headache.

Wild didn't want him to stay for a reason. When he's hot, he's hot. Problem is, he disappears and is cold a ton of the time. He's just not consistent.

could be a "Pouilot"for the Rangers.. I personally think Zucc and Brassard made Pouilot look better than he actually is and could do the same for a guy like Setogucchi, if he's really cheap.

Don't forget about his long stretches of games where he completely disappears. Guy will give you 5 goals in 6 games then disappear for the next 15.

I don't know, i remember a few years ago oilers were targeting him in a trade but it fell through.

I wouldn't mind the oil signing him for fourth line duty. Really give us options for 3 scoring lines and a solid fourth line. Think a line of Hendricks - Gordon - Setoguchi would do well.

He needs a good playmaker to be of any use offensively.

He sounds like a perfect fit on Desharnai's wing.

On a line w/ Crosby he would fetch 25 goals. All 25 goals would come in 10 games. He is lazy and one has to question everything about him if you are not willing to work somewhat hard in back to back contract years.

Dude seems dumb to put it nicely.

He is just not a very good hockey player anymore (for whatever reason), I mean he was scratched by an awful Jets team in the latter parts of the season. He literally had 2 games the entire season where I thought to myself "I could see this guy scoring 20 goals."

I could see it working for 15+ goals. If he was playing with Crosby he would score 25+.

He's lazy and can be completely invisible at times. He is good in the shootout though if that means anything.

Probably will get a cheap 1 year deal somewhere once all the big movement is done and teams have their cap situation all figured out.

Then if he has a decent year the Oilers will sign him for 5 kidding kidding...I hope. Looks like almost every Jet played better without him last year, so he's not gonna get that corsi money

Yea he can score 20 goals easy except he hasn't scored 20 since 2010-2011 in San Jose and only had 11 in 79 games last year.

Just not good enough (consistently) to be an NHL player. Doesn't fit into the bottom six, you don't want him playing on the top line and there are just so many better options out there for your second line.

With full respect, could not disagree more.

Dupuis gets so unfairly maligned by some. Guy complements Sid well and plays a 200 foot game.

Setoguchi does not.

You'd reward a 11 goal scorer with not just a contract, but with the keys to your first line, alongside the best player on earth? Wow.

He is the example of what free agency will kill in terms of career. He is likely asking for more than what teams would be willing to pay.

He is not someone that will make a difference and if you sign him you likely are taking a roster spot from an ELC player who potentially could match his production numbers.

He was painfully awful to watch last year as a Jets fan. He played physical at times, which was nice, but was complete dead weight most of the time.
