Why such low interest for Devin Setoguchi?

Unfair, Cheechoo's knees gave out. 3 MCL operations on EACH KNEE!

Setoguchi follows Heatley to Anaheim?

He cant play defense , He is extremely streaky and generally his production in SJ appears to have been mirage from playing with Sharks top talent

When Setoguchi isnt' scoring he is basically a waste of roster spot

Seto can look really good at times, but disappears for long stretches. Sort of the anti- Heatley. The body and skills are all there, but the spirit is wanting.

Because he sucks. And his face has the same shape as Kyle Wellwood's.

He will likely get a job, probably fire his agent first

I'd take him for less than 0.900m AAV and only if it's two-way contract.

He'll get a PTO.

Might of been asking for too much, and if any team was interested, that might of turned them off for now.

Sounds exactly like a player the Wings have named Franzen.

Agreed, I'm sure he'll get a PTO. I think teams want to see how is off season training goes. He's got a maturity issue and is not very good defensively.

It also seems like he left his heart in SJ, where life was really good for him. You could see it in his first interview after getting traded to the Wild that he wasn't happy at all. I was convinced that the Wild signed his best friend Torrey Mitchell to try sparking him, but that didn't work at all.

Doug Wilson mentioned that a former Shark contacted him at the trade deadline and hope to come back to San Jose. That's when he made his statement about wanting players who didn't want to just live her, but play here too. Many people (myself included) believe he was referring to Seto because there were reputable pundits saying that the Sharks and Seto were talking.

I don't think Seto will ever really be the player he was in SJ again.

On a side note, I do respect Seto as a person. When he used to be on Twitter, I won a contest he did when he reached 10,000 followers. He gave me two tickets to a game, VIP passes so my wife and I could meet him at the locker room after the game, and his game used stick from that night which he autographed.

Mainly because he pretty much sucks now. I am not shocked by the lack of interest and do not understand how others would be. Unless you think he is still the same guy he was in SJ.

We'll happily take him back on the Reign! We don't have his brother anymore, though, so it might be a tough sell.

He absolutely wants to play in SJ again. I don't see it happening but he wants to be here.

If he can score 20-goals easily how come he barely scored ten last year?

Nashville should give him a tryout. Not like our offense could get any worse...

He had a lot less shots on goal than he typically does the last 2 years. More shots (more ice time) = more goals

Oh Seto. If you spent more time on the ice than in the clubs ...

BTW, I'm guessing those Letang - Setoguchi proposals back in '09 are off the table?

Winnipeg essentially told him to go home at the end of the season. Pretty sure he's not getting rave reviews from past coaches or GMs.

Which by recogning, has been in 10+ game spurts too many times since San Jose traded him away.

I've always thought of these 2 as the same person. Nice one.

My guess is Pittsburgh picks him up on a tryout or bargain bin contract. Detroit or New York show some interest.
