Often presume that some here will be far better skaters and much more advanced than myself; and others perhaps less so. I'd probably consider myself intermediate level, but upper , lower or average in that range I'm not sure.

Anyone able or willing to show their stuff?

The last stuff I have of me is 9 months ago. And in a less-than-2-year skating career that's so long ago I'd be embarrassed. Next time tho. Although saying that, you always look a million times slower than you feel you're going

Anyway, do you have any?

"Cats" - you sound like the guys in the drumming forum I sometimes frequent

Don't play drums but must watch too many movies.

Not averse to posting some footage, but have to get some first.

..and you need to change that photo. That helmet drives me nuts. Ought to be a cosmonaut helmet, not a hockey one.

I'm getting lessons tomorrow from a friend of mine who's been playing hockey his whole life. I've been playing ice for about a year now (March of 2013), and started inline about 6 months before that. I'll get him to take a few clips of me with my phone and try to post them online for you.

I'm pretty quick going straight, but that's about it. Very uncomfortable cutting in either direction, and I definitely favor my right side when stopping. I can stop with my left foot leading, but I have to think about it and take a second before I actually make the stop. Even then, it's hit-or-miss.

There's a point where having good form stops and being in shape takes over, you might be at that point (I have no idea what kind of shape you're in).

I consider myself an intermediate player but a good skater. My problem is conditioning (too lazy to do cardio) and the fact that we had few subs for this lunchtime open skate didn't help matters. I didn't really skate hard here until near the end.

The guy in blue is one of the better players who works at the rink.

This looks like lunch hockey in Bethpage.

I've been quite a bit. It's not bad but the skill level dropped drastically as the weeks went on.
