I don't think we are going to trade Couture in a deal centered around a rental. Well kind of rental. Someone that is a UFA next year.

Idk, we might be able to grab Cidney Srosby in 74 ..

I could see Jason Demers as someone Murray would have interest in, but you'd have to think this deal would be about one of Thornton, Marleau or Pavelski. I'd guess Marleau, because of his versatility.

You know it means nothing when he's talking about a "trade being close to done" except has zero details to offer...

idk man...we lose a lot of grit and size. I'm hoping we can develop Hertl to become Scott's replacement.

You gotta add your first in 2074 and 2072 so we have a chance at Cidney Srosby and Gayne Wretzky.

It's a pretty easy rumour to come up with. Murray was saying they were looking at getting a deal done for a #1 centre, and Thornton is the obvious one that comes to mind.

Too bad he'll be six feet under by the time the sens contend again

In all seriousness, I'd consider adding Bobby Ryan to the sharks lineup if he was somehow available

We wouldn't trade couture on 2 years for 5 of ryan. They're not even in the same league. When you considered defense and complete game.

What? Murray said it's not a center. Although I do think Thornton makes us a play-off team, I don't see why we would do it since he's already 35.

Would have to include Hertl, one would think.

Doug Wilson to Ottawa E5. He's going to be on 3rd pairing and #1 power play unit. Can't be any worse than Phillips plus he's an Ottawa boy!

Then there is no deal to be made. Hertl isn't going anywhere.

Bobby Ryan was once a top prospect.. Watch us be saying the same thing about Hertl in 6 years

Ps. I'm not saying Ryan is better

Not that this thread is based on anyone with an ounce of credibility, but to go along with the throwing darts blindly theme

I could see Marleau to OTT.

Marleau
Niemi
3rd

Lehner
Puemple
Boroweicki
Pageau

Don't know if it works with Cap, but how about value?
