Send him here to Vancouver. He WANTS to be here at home. He grew up here, played Jr here.
Van has the pieces to pull it off. Most players names being mentioned by everyone here all have NTC and surely wont waive to go to Winnipeg.
Like who? The Canucks are not going upward as a franchise and look to have no depth at all.In 3 or 4 years maybe but not now.Check your roster and players ages, not good.

What pieces does Vancouver have to pull it off ? No bits and pieces will do . Interested to hear what Vancouver has to facilitate this.

He would look great in a Habs uniform.

Something around Beaulieu, Eller, Fucale and a First be in the ball park?

Hilarious how far people will go to invent things to suit their own narrative.

So the "fans" want Kane out now? News to me. Can someone prove where the "fans" provided that feedback?

The Jets org has been trying to trade him for years? Again, any proof? Guys like Friedman and McKenzie have reported over the years that the Jets were not shopping him but listening.

Kane may or may not get traded at some point, but some of the mental gymnastics that people enjoy creating so that they can dream about adding Kane to their team is pretty funny.

If Kane is moved, the return would have to include a quality established player. Why would we move a player under contract for 4 more seasons for maybees and potential players?

B prospect + B prospect + pick != Kane

if your gm has the pulse of the fans he will most likely end up their or somewhere in the east where we don't have to face him as often. Montreal's offers have been respectable and I like Montreal 2nd after WPG. don't want him in Vancouver or Edmonton

A sign that you're from Winnipeg is if you know that means skeeter repellent and not some funny weather conditions.

I'm a Jets fan, and I really like Kane as a player. He always plays hard and is a dynamic forward with a very bright future.

However, I think that the Jets and Kane have probably reached the end of the line. It's probably a mutual situation at this point. I also have a strong inkling that the Jets have a few irons in the fire for a trade (probably to a team in the East), but cap situations or the lack of a suitable offer have held things up. I think it's more likely that Kane is traded than he is back with the Jets next season.

As for the broader theme about playing in Winnipeg, it's clear that some players will like it and some won't. Obviously, players focused on being in a bigger market, or where hockey isn't such an obsession, or where they can golf year round will prefer another destination. But the Jets have been able to sign each and every one of their young core to decent, long-term contracts. That includes Kane, who signed a 6-year contract to play in Winnipeg at a reasonable cap hit of $5.25 million. Two years ago they attracted one of the top free agents in Jokinen, and this year Matthew Perreault was thrilled to join the Jets from Anaheim, and he's a decent player. Let's also not forget that Kesler recently wanted out of Vancouver, St. Louis wanted out of TB, etc. A lot of times it's about hockey and relationships more than the city itself.

The Jackets get fleeced, Johansen is a much better hockey player then Evander Kane.

A package of futures including

2015 1st which will likely be top 16
Choice of Shinkaruk, Gaunce, Cassels, Jensen
Markstrom
Hansen
Burrows

Many others....

We Are getting younger and have
Kassian-22
Tanev-24
Jensen-21
Corrado -20
Vey-22

And a slew of other youngsters in the pipe.

Kane fits that above group as he is also only just turning 23.

Not near me. Rumor is Kane signed up for the buffer zone. Just another reason for us fans to hate him. ;-)

Still waiting on a legitimate offer, I don't like Shinkaruk nearly as to what Vancouver fans do and the Jets passed on him once , bits and pieces are not doing it. Start with Horvat .

Id definitely offer Lack, Jensen, Hansen, 2015 2nd and Burrows if they wanted him and if he waived.
