Calgary might but Edmonton already has Hall and Perron at LW and they can't really afford Kane's cap hit unless they move out a couple of pieces.

Do the Oilers have anything the Jets might want considering the Oilers won't move any of their young core?

Hansen + Lack + 2015 pick + forward prospect seems to make a lot of sense.

going to have to give to get.

As a Canucks fan who has seen Kane at the Roxie, not sure if this would be the best environment for him but hell I don't care I would love to see him in a Canucks uniform.

Guy would give the Canucks exactly what they need, a young scorer for a team who can't score.

Here is my respectable offer.

To Vancouver:

E Kane
2nd

To Winnipeg:

Tanev
Shinkaruk
Lack
2015 3rd

Maybe throw in Dane Fox to complete the set.

I believe it was Botchford who reported that the Canucks had no interest. Although he may just be speculating based on Boston-Seguin like myself and a few others have.

Nope, not willing to sell the farm for a player with a potential bad attitude. We just got rid of the locker room poisons. No sense in adding more.

Not saying I would not make the trade - Kane is an incredible talent and will hopefully mature. You could make the same argument about the other Kane. I don't think there is a team in the league that would not take Patrick Kane due to his attitude problems.

I can easily see Shinkaruk being an offensive threat. He was suppose to go top 10 last year and supposedly fell due to "cocky" attitude just like McCann.

From what I saw today, McCann was simply a witty, charismatic guy who comes off as confident. Scouts probably took that as cocky.

I wouldn't trade Shinkaruk for him. Maybe Jensen + Lack/Markstrom + pick, but no more. He has all the warning signs of being a coach killer.

No point in trading our future core away. I rather just keep rolling with draft picks and getting a mix of different players for the future.

Kane is tempting though.

Does Jensen actually have all that much value at the moment?

I would look into shipping Sbisa that way. Do they need a d-man?

At any rate:
2015 1st is off limits
Horvat is off limits
Virtanen is off limits for now
Tanev is off limits because our d would be gutted.

Jets fans think this guy is Crosby, and people say Canucks fans overrate their players..

Excellent point on the "other" Kane.

I kind of think Kane is just bitter because he lives in Winnipeg.

...anyone thought of that?

He was drafted into Atlanta and then moved to Winnipeg...perhaps.
